Red Ames entered the free agent market this year after pitching a perfect game and helping the Giants to the 1910 World Series Victory.  Ames signed a 2 year deal worth 22 Million.   "I sat down with Red"  explain owner Mike Lewis,  "I told him that he was an important part of what we are building here, a dynasty.  But to do that we need a lot of people and we need people to see the big picture."
"In the end it really was an easy decision.  Sure I did not get exactly what I was looking for as far as a contract goes.  But my family is happy in New York.  This is the best team in baseball and will be for quite sometime, and I want ot be a part of that."
The Giants now have the exact smae team that won them the World Series.  "If it ain't broke don't fix it."  said lewis.  Lewis made some deals during the regular season this year that catapulted the Giants into first place in the National League.  particularly, picking up Jake Daubert, Hienie Zimmerman and George Mcquillan.
"Signing Red was a big deal for us.  It really solidifies our starting rotation.  I'm not saying there won't be any deals made this season but as of right now we are quite happy with the team we are putting on the field."  replied Lewis.
