UnDeR_ScORr's first ever gig- Jason's review.

"This was UnDeR_ScORr's 1st Gig. We supported 'Fudged' along side 'Blind Sight' in the Centenary Club, Wrexham. Overall the gig wasn't too bad, at last minute we changed our line-up to the following:

We started of with a sound check, we played 'Liberate' by Slipknot, and then our own 'It takes over' which got the crowd up a bit, although Sku had stage fright, after 'Intro' we started to calm down a bit because of the great response from the crowd. That's where it went slightly pear shaped.... The Fudged mixing bloke did our mixing too, and I can safely say he's gonna get gunned down in the near future: The bass was too loud, the guitar had too much distortion, causing loads of feed-back, and the mikes were running on 1 channel of sound, so Fil had to literally scream to be heard. Basket case was the worst done song, Woody sang too high making it sound b*llocks, there was a little onstage arguing between Woody and Fill too.
After Basket case, we decided to miss out Time of your life, and I dunno what happened to 'Giving in', so we played Untitled (Sku), which is an undistorted versed song, which was impossible to explain to the mixer, so we played it grunge style which was a bit mad. We then were told to play 2 more songs because of the time  taken for the mixer to sort out stuff, so we played 'It takes over', UnDeR_ScORr's heaviest own song, which went down brilliantly with the crowd. We finished with Nirvana's 'Rape me' which was the best song we played all night, considering we only practiced it for an hour that day before deciding to use it.
Overall, we had positive feedback from the crowd, we had 3 songs recorded live and an interview afterwards for the college radio."

On the 15th of July, UnDeR_ScORr were let loose to play a gig at Fil's School Bryn Offa. Here's what Jason and Jamie thought of it...

"We had practiced for the whole week before the gig at Jason's Dad's house for the first time as a last resort after having problems involving angry neighbors and let-downs. Sku had left just before this gig, except he didn't know about it until after the gig, (if you know what i mean). Jamie Warner took his place, and this was also Nazi's first gig with the band.

We decided on the following line-up:

***Encore--Smells_Like_Teen_Sprit (Nirvana)***

This gig went much more smoothly than the last- partially because we all knew what to expect, and we were pretty well practiced after a 5 hour long practice the previous day. The gig was supposed to be open to pupils, ex-pupils, teachers and the road crew, but we ended up bringing 10 to 15 collage cronies with us which made things easier on us knowing that the room wasn't completely full of the school scallies. We played Korn's Blind as a sound check. After some slight technical difficulties (i.e. not enough volume on the vox/bass), Jamie introduced the band and we started with 'Intro', which went slightly wrong in the 1st few bars but we recovered swiftly when Adrien added some lead solos out of nowhere. The band knew that it was going well after hearing the crowds reaction. Next came 'It takes over' which went well apart from Adrien's guitar lead playing up for a few seconds. We then played 'Sweet Dreams' which was a crowd favorite- Everything went perfectly except a few scallies made their way on to the stage through a back entrance, which pissed Jase off after one of them caused his high-hat stand to collapse by hitting it, so Jase played the ride symbol until a break in the song. Next was 'Giving in' which we stormed through without any trouble. We then played a medley which we made in the practice the previous day. This was Jamie's favorite song of the set. Jamie introduced Limp Bizkit's 'Faith' and told the crowd to spread to the center of the stage and to jump when the song kicked in. When the kick-in came, Jase rolled on the snare, everyone jumped, and we stopped playing and took a moment to laugh at the confused and embarrassed crowd, we then went straight into  Linkin Park's 'One step closer', we played until just before the chorus, then went into Papa Roach's 'Between angels and insects', Jamie shown his rapping skills (or not) off before going into Nickleback's 'How you remind me', then moving swiftly into Hanson's 'Mmmbop', and then back into Linkin Park's 'One step closer' to finish. The crowd found the whole thing hilarious. Next on the line up was 'Stop your negative' which got a mosh pit going at the front of the stage, which the band was impressed with. We then played Nirvana's 'Rape me' after it going so well in the last gig. Next we played our newest song- 'Painstakingly Beautiful (Yet Indignantly Hated Due To Complete Lack Of All Morals And Self Respect) Laid To Rest In The Graveyard Of My Soul'- the only song we played which was written by Jamie, which also got a mosh-pit going due to the fast paced chorus' and droned Cradle of Filth style verses. Next we played Korn's 'Blind' which surprisingly went without a hitch considering that this was the only song which we were worrying about. The crowd cheered and asked for more, so Adrian played a small guitar solo, the crowd still wanted more, 1 person shouted for Coal Chamber's 'Loco' which we had put on the original line up, but we hadn't practiced it well enough, so we played Nirvana's 'Smells like teen spirit' which ended by a drum and lead solo. We received a lot of positive feedback from everyone, and the set was recorded onto cassette which you can get a copy of if u ask nicely."
