Elephant At Play
Little baby grey likes to play
across the field of brown,
Nose held on mothers tail,
Who guides him to their destination.
A break is taken by his family
So he runs out with the others,
Ear wings flapping for flight
As each giggle and leave a trail of dust.
They stomp and roll in their kingdom inheritance,
Blowing dust onto each other,
Blind to the dangers of the steel snake
Held by the hands of greed
Or the silent roar of a king behind the grass.
Their laughter is their joy
As they run around their playground
Of plants and dry land,
But mothers and fathers soon call out,
Their names echoes past the trees
And homes in the ground,
So play time is over and
And they’re guided again
Protected by their titan parents,
They’ll wait until they play again.
