My Island
I crave the distant isle I seek
Far away from these cornered streets
Where I知 alone with my bare feet
Running wild on that vanilla beach.
I値l walk down to the shore and scream.
Let out the pain I cannot keep.
The sun will come down on my dreams
And whisper: baby, you are free.
I値l cool out down by the sea
Drink down cool waters from the leaves
And when sunset comes
I値l wait for a breeze
To chill me out and put me to sleep.
For now I値l ride it out ok,
But sometimes its hard to wait all day.
In sleep I see the waters break
Against the shore where I値l be safe.
I値l hear the ocean sing
And blow away
All that痴 messed up and put to shame,
The bright blue soothes the thoughts through the day.
I値l wake up to the sound of waves
Onto the sand, my name erased.
I値l say goodbye to the boat that came,
To leave me here with no escape,
But that痴 alright
I知 here to stay.
