World
A man scorned replies with vengeance.
Kings stand alone over their triumphs
Pleased with their gain of platinum and gold.
Selfishness is their Queen, and so
They fail us and we’re left bitter.
Down here love is put to shame
Because belief holds its power,
And guns are pointed at those like me,
With bullets carved from the ancient text,
Because I cannot place a woman,
Like I’d place a man in my heart;
The reciprocator to my affection.
Fruit comes in baskets
And water in a billion bottles,
Yet mouths ache in starvation
And lips crack but won’t be satisfied.
I've found the cruelity laughing
Inside the greed,
So lush inside so many men,
So thick, So green.
Blood glows spattered
On streets and walls unseen
And also flows down the rivers
Washed from many fingers
And many dirty feet
But coagulates under the nails.
Hearts are ripped
And love mulled down to bleed.
Yet We love, and still love
and forever love.
But we still get punished
And spanked on the ass
By the weather red with fury
Screaming through the horns.
Anger is shown in thunder
As much as love is in the flourishing corn,
The world is hurt and heart broken,
Hoping what we've broken will be restored.
