A NEW HOME
The Gray Death Legion received Glengarry in the year 3056 from house Steiner for an oath of Allegiance to the prince of the federated commonwealth, Victor Steiner Davion. This was a true victory for Gray Death Legion, as it had spent nearly 30 years living assignment from assignment. It finally had a home.
TREACHERY
However almost immediatly, Glengarry was attacked by a group of LYRAN rebels calling themselves the Skye Seperatists. Unfortunately, the bulk of the Gray Death Legion had been lured away to another contract. The forces on Glengarry, which were signifigantly outnumbered, were left to fend for themselves. Which they did, fiercly, for seven months under the command of the son of the founder of GDL, Alexander Carlyle. Eventually the Skye Seperatists were defeated and the Gray Death Legion claimed victory.
BETRAYED AGAIN
During a breach of morals in a contract against rebels on Caledonia, the Gray Death Legion broke the contract and sided with Caledonian rebels. It was a setup. Upon this breach, Katrina Steiner, the new head of the Lyran Alliance, decided to punish the Gray Death Legion by Invading Glengarry. Again, like all that have gone against the Gray Death Legion, the Steiner forces were defeated, but at a high cost to Gray Death Legion Equipment and Personell. However, upon Steiner's defeat, Katrina Steiner recognized GDL's authority over Glengarry for a pledge of Allegiance to the Lyran Commonwealth.
PREVAILING STILL
However, even though GDL has pledged it's allegiance to the Lyran Commonwealth, we are NOT Steiner pawns. GDL will pursue its own agendas and it will never stop fighting for what we beleive in.
OPERATIONS UPDATE
Glengarry is now heavily defended, against any insurrection, but will still be pursuing contracts with whoever pays the fee that we're worthy of. Glengarry will forever be our home, as we will defend it to death as we have so many times in the past. We look forward to fighting alongside our new allies in the ARC - ROYAL DEFENSE CORDON. |
