    I was really surprised to get this album as i got the impression that Fear Factory had split up following the departure of guitarist Dino Cazares in 2003 and i had no idea that they were doing another album. But, if you a fan of the old material you'll certainly love this. It's heavy, loud and exactly what Fear Factory should sound like. It's a major improvement from Digimortal and Obsolete. Archetype is an album worth getting your hands on.

    Fear Factory, being one of the first bands in modern day metal to mix hardcore with industrial beats and synthesizers, it's good to see them back with an album similar to the old material and as good. Also, with the addition of the Strapping Young Lad bassist Byron Stroud it's gives the band a much bigger and thicker sound.

    Archetype is defiantely an album i would recommend, it's out April 19th and you can catch them on tour where they are the main support for Slipknot. Stand out tracks on Archetype are: Slave Labor, Act of God and Corporate Cloning.
