Chinese Algae Eater
Gyrinocheilos aymonieri

Origin: Thailand, Northern India
Length: Up to 7 cm (2.75 inches)
Temperature: 23-28 C (73-82 F)
PH: 6.2 - 7.4
Diet: Algae, Fish Flakes, Food Tablets
Temperment: These guys seem to blend into a community tank well. At first, the other fish were kind of picking on them, but they wouldn't be intimidated and continued to swim where they wish and clean the glass. They tend to get aggressive at times. As they grow older, they tend to eat less algae and become more aggressive.
Strata: Bottom and Middle
Comments: They have proved to clean up my tank a bit. I would first suggest a Pleco for that, but if your tank is small (or your Pleco doesn't do his job like mine), then it could be beneficial for you to add one or two of these to your tank.
