Shalom and Welcome To
The Warriors Roots

Christianity has a very rich heritage and the Old Testament is filled with symbols, types and shadows......all foreshadowing the coming of Messiah.  I believe it's important for us to recognize those roots because they have a lot to teach us about who Jesus is and why He came to earth to give us the inheritance that we now enjoy.

Almighty God's promise to Abraham was that He would bless all nations through him and that blessing came in the form of His Son Jesus.  Without understanding our Hebraic roots we miss out on a lot of the significance of what it was that Jesus really did for us in coming to earth as both Son of God and son of man.

1 Peter 1:10 -12 says:  Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.  It was revealed to them that they were not serving themsleves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you in those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven.   Even the angels long to look into these things.

In this section you will find pages that describe the significance of things like The Tabernacle and the Feasts and Festivals of Leviticus in the light of Jesus.  Also, there are pages that tell why it's so important for Christians today to understand their Jewish roots.

In speaking of the Jews rejection of Jesus as their Messiah, the Apostle Paul has this to say:  Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery?  Not at all!  Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.  But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!  I am talking to you Gentiles.  Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.  For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?  If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches. If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches.  If you do, consider this:  You do not support the root, but the root supports you.  You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in."  Granted.  But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith.  Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.  For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.  Consider therefore, the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness.  Otherwise, you also will be cut off.  And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grated in, for God is able to graft them in again.  After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree!  Romans 11:11 - 24

The Jews still remain God's chosen people and His plan for them is salvation and total restoration.  Romans 11:29 reminds us that "God's gifts and his call are irrevocable" and we need to do what we can to restore our Jewish brethren to the fullness that God has always intended for them.

Paul goes on to say in Romans 11:25 - 27......I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.  And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.  And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

I invite you to prayerfully study the pages that follow and see the richness of the heritage that is yours as believers and lift up in prayer those who have been blinded and have a veil over their faces.  Allow the glory of the Lord to shine from you so that others might have the veils lifted from their faces.

"But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read.  It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.  Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.  But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away."  2 Corinthians 3:14-16
