Death of a Soldier

In the last embrace,
it is death we will face;

Death, I do not fear,
though my end may be near;

In battle, I must survive,
at the end, I will be alive;

Train with sword day and night,
all my life I was born to fight;

Train my body and my mind,
Love and fear is what you will find;

On that day that I will die,
there will be none for me to cry;

Gone to face a new enemy,
wondering, Is he better than me?

Then I felt his blade slide through,
I knew, I would go to be with you;

Now I will dwell with mother earth,
thinking of my life since birth.
