Delta Pi's Second Boat
1995-1996

In the Fall 1995 "I Can't Believe It Floats Boat Race," Delta Pi tried to continue with the theme of major appliance-derived boats. (Their previous attempt was an old fridge.)

The 1995 event was held at the HPU swimming pool.

This year, the appliance they chose was a washing machine. They removed the agitator and lid to allow the pilot to sit inside. However, this boat was top-heavy and tipped over. Upon seeing this, almost the entire fraternity jumped into the pool and pushed the boat to finish the race.


Other entries:
Most were unremarkable.
Zeta Chi recycled the previous year's boat with only minor modifications.
I think IXA did the same that year.
(In all, Zeta Chi's boat made three apperances and IXA's made two.)
