The Concrete Street Sign
The concrete street sign stood at the corner of Center Avenue and Whaley
Street. It was old and weathered. I don't know when it was erected.
A 1930's era photograph of that corner shows only a regular metal street
sign.
It was removed during the Gregory administration.
There may have been others at one point, but I can't remember.
It was in the shape of an obelisk about three feet tall and had the street names carved into it.
