the Holy Order of the Larkspur

An order of skater monks named for the stavesacre.

stavesacre  n. - 1. an Old World larkspur whose seeds are violently emetic and cathartic.

larkspur  n. - 1. any of various plants of the crowfoot family, whose flowers have a curved, petallike upper sepal shaped like a spur. Most larkspurs have clusters of blue flowers on tall stalks.
2. the blue color characteristic of the larkspur: larkspur, a pastel blue slightly inclining to the mauve (London Daily Express). [earlier larkes spur > genitive of lark1 + spur]
