Pi Rho was a subset of Sigma Delta Kappa, a chartered fraternity at Howard Payne University. The name "Pi Rho" is derived from the prefix "pyro-" meaning "fire."

Every year at Homecoming, SDK would build the bonfire. That was also about all that they ever did. SDK always got the honor of building the bonfire because they would underbid anyone to get it. It was their primary tradition. Some would say that it was their only tradition.
