The original Zonk notebook held by Nathan Webb contained our constitution and bylaws.
When Nathan left HPU, we decided to just let Zonk happen however it would.

What Zonk kept:

the Zonk
sacred shirt
(We don't actually have the shirt. Nathan took it with him, but we still revere the sacred shirt.)

meeting time
The place was originally in the lobby of Jennings Dorm. The location has since been changed, but the 3:00 AM time has remained the same. It might originally have been every other Tuesday.

expulsion for attending meetings
This one has been kept. It is known that members have been kicked out for attending or scheduling meetings. They promptly reinstated themselves.

expulsion for paying dues/fines
We still keep the money. We're still waiting for someone to pay, but it hasn't happened yet.

no snobbish behavior allowed
This is still the lynchpin of Zonk.

What Zonk didn't keep:

pledging
Zonk's pledging was originally going to be long and hard. If any pledge obeyed a single order, he wouldn't make it. However, those who disobeyed every order would make it. Pledging was to end with a meeting. Those who showed up, of course did not make it.
We still joke that Zonk has the hardest pledging of any org.

allowing selected fratboys into Zonk
Originally, certain people from certain frats were going to be allowed in Zonk. Only certain frats that did not display a great deal of snobbery were to be considered. Even then, only certain people from these frats were allowed. The individuals in question must be of humble character and also committed to opposing shobbery.
However we quickly realised that this was counter to our purpose. The formulation of the
doctrines of Zonk also led to this decision. All fratboys were then banned from Zonk.
Zonk has never had a prohibition against non-fraternal orgs, as long as the org and the member in question were not snobbish or fratist.

Call-sign-like titles
The re-founders decided that we would have titles. These titles sounded like call-signs or code names. When the notebookk left, so did the titles.
These titles bear no relation to the current titles.

What Zonk added:

the three questions
The three
questions were not part of the original Zonk "constitution" as I remember it. They were logically deduced from our principles and philosophies.
