Before you came to me
My life was a shambles.
My heart and soul torn and bleeding,
I had lost my faith, alone and bereft
I hid from the light, but feared the dark.
No longer in my breast was there even a spark,
But you saw something in me I thought had died.
With an angel's touch, and the love few could know
you breathed life back into my lungs; your kisses my salvation.
Your power unhindered, the dark clouds rolled away
And the light surrounded me, caressing.
I began to feel, and though there was some pain
You were my rock, unwavering.
Restored to humanity, and yet somehow
I am stronger than before.
Where I end, you begin.
You complete me,
