Just when you thought the road building was done it seems that the road building is just beginning in Union. U. S. 42, which was under construction for a year, is now in use. A new road, which will join Union to the Interstate, and areas beyond, will run parallel to Mt. Zion Road, cross the new road and Old 42, and join Hathaway Road on up the hill out of town. It will cross Old 42 in "downtown" Union on the other side of the Baptist Church. This means (among other things) that Union will no longer be a crossroads, but will have intersecting streets, just like the big cities.

We wonder what the future will bring, but whether it brings good or bad when it comes, it will come sooner or later.
