The following Turnpikes existed in this part of Boone County in 1883:

Union and Florence, 5½ miles

Union and Beaver Lick, 5½ miles

White Haven and Richwood, 2½ miles

Beaver Lick and Richwood, 6 miles


Note: Boone County was the last county in Kentucky to have toll roads, and Union had the last toll road in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
