AORANGI

Aorangi was built at Fairfields Glasgow in 1924 and at the time was the largest and fastest liner in the world. Her trial speed was 18.5 knots. She had accommodation for 953 passengers in three classes. Built for the trans Pacific service. Sold to British Iron and Steel Corporation and scrapped at Dalmuir (Scotland) in 1953.
