Risdon was built at Linthouse, Glasgow by A. Stephen and Sons Ltd. in 1959. Risdon was especially designed for the Australian trade and named after the port of Risdon at Hobart. She was mainly engaged in the carriage of zinc concentrates and zinc products from Risdon to South Australian ports. Sold to Maldives Shipping Ltd, Male, in 1975 and renamed Maldive Navigator. Sold to Sorysin Cia,Nav,Panama in 1976 and renamed Panagia Spiliani. Transferred Spiliani Shipping, Co. S.A. Panama 1979. Sold to Indian ship breakers in 1984 and arrived Bedi for demolition on 6 June 1984. |
