Kevin and Perry - GO LARGE

This film will not appeal to you if you: One you don't like British comedy, two if you are very easily offended and three if your a total kill joy. British comedian Harry Enfield is overshadowed by long time TV partner Kathy Burke who steals the show...

For those who have not seen the TV series Kevin and Perry are 2 cretinous teenagers looking for sex, sex and well thats about it. When they want to go to Ibiza Kevin is delighted his Mum and Dad are paying, but horrified to find they want to come too. Its then cheeky humour all the way, this really is a film for all us big kids as yes, its infantile but how many of us are appaled by cheeky jokes, hidden humour and plain slapstick. indeed the brilliance of Enfields character is that while so over the top he is so real too life as we have either been a Kevin or known sombody who was. I used to be, at Kevins age all i was interesed in was Guns 'n' Roses and girls and getting a job seemed years away. The cinema was full of snogging school kids who were just like the ones in the film such was its appeal. Indeed I walked out past a group of jabbering girls, put my jersey on back to front and walked into a lamp post.

The real star is Kathy Burke as Kevins freind Perry. the highly talented actress really deserves to go far, playing a boy and stealing the show every time. What a pity Paul Whitehouse only had a small Role, trouble is theres only room for one star!
