So if your wondering who I am, I'm a 22 year old British eccentric. It was just naturual I would end up in the media, being brought up on cinema and theatre from an early age, by the age of 8 I wanted to be an actor and by 13 was mapping out my first films, despite not having the slightest idea about how to make them!
As you can see from elsewhere on this site I shot my first material at 17.
I'm heavily influenced by early cinema and kitchen sink dramas, my narrow minded tutors cant understand my films which has seen my confidence get a complete battering. In a country thats gripped by low budget cheaply made films I end up being taught by a 50+ year old duffer who cant understand anything above the level of Titanic!
My films are inspired by, among many, Ken Loach and Lewis Gilbert. One of my ambitions in the very long term is to establish a cinema chain that will only show non mainstream films, such as foreign. We have a lunatic system in Britain that despite having the best talent in the world, we are strangle holded by Americans who decide we have to watch their films only. For example we have 10 screen cinemas that tell us what a wide choice of films they have - 10 awful comedys usually.
I have been disalusioned with film just lately but having seen enemy at the gates has improved things a bit!
As well as being an aviation enthusiast, I have allways been interested in history, and I'm a complete architecture nut. I've lost count of the ammount of people who have been dragged all over London, Lincoln, Hull and Boston on one of my long treks just to hunt down interesting buildings. I'm also found in junk shops hunting props that will come in useful for film making.
