About US

United Students was started three years ago when a student at our school was thrown down a flight of stairs because he was gay. He went to our administration who decided that a support group was needed. The other high school in our town already had a group called Proud establshed. At first we didn't have a name and then Anne said, "we're just US," and so US became our name. A year later we decided to extend it into United Students. The school refers us as United Students but we're just US.
