Chakras: The Centre of our Existence!
By Joseph Ghabi

Most of us have heard talk or have read something about the seven centers of energies that we refer to as Chakras. I do believe these are very important centres of our being in terms of our energy field, our aura, and most of all our own balance that can manifest into our physical body.

So what can we do about these energies and how can we balance these centres? You don’t need a high level of schooling but perhaps only a few small tips that can enhance your association with the different levels of these Chakras.

These Chakras are usually associated with colors. Not simply to distinguish them, or identify them from each other, but because colors on their own play on our emotional psyche. I personally work with nine chakras instead of seven. I will go through the nine charkas and explain their characteristics.
The characteristics of the Chakras, having worked with them for many years through my meditation and healing, are represented as follows: We will start from the bottom up.

The Root Chakra is the first Chakra located on the base of the spine, and its color is "Red" and its secondary color is "Black". Its characteristics are a grounding to the earth plane existence in a body. It holds the basic needs of stability, security, and survival. In our body, Root Chakra body parts include the hips, legs, rectum, kidneys, bones, colon, and lower back. Any red or black gemstones will help heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: Garnet, Ruby as red, and smoky quartz and obsidian for black.

The Belly Chakra is the second Chakra located in the abdomen, and its color is "Orange". Its characteristics are our sexuality, self-esteem, our own personal power, and power of the world. This Chakra accesses the lower level of the emotional body and houses one’s unhealed inner child. Inner child here are where the images of both this life, and past life traumas, are stored. The ability to let go of old emotions is based in this Chakra. This is a very powerful chakra. In our body, Belly Chakra body parts include the ovaries, vagina, genitals, uterus, lumbar spine, kidneys, bladder, and large intestine. Any orange gemstones will heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: Carnelian (help in pregnancy), and Coral.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is the third Chakra located in the stomach, and its color is "Yellow". Its characteristics are the conscious and rational mind. Our self-confidence, personal power, and intuition is manifested here. Business, math sense, and material learning ability are focused here as well as self-empowerment and our will. Our inner child as part of our Soul is housed there and that can help to bring us our survival tools. Solar Plexus body parts include the stomach, bladder, pancreas, small intestine, liver, and gall bladder. Any yellow gemstones will heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: Citrine or Yellow Sapphire.

The Heart Chakra is the fourth Chakra located in the heart, and its color is either "Green" and as secondary color "Pink" pending on the persona state of mind. Pink will represent earthly love and that the person is looking for love. Green is more universal and unconditional love for self and for humanity as a mean of compassion. Its characteristics are that it is very important to give and receive love. It is about the ability to love yourself and others. Heart Chakra body parts are the heart, circulatory system, lungs, shoulder and the upper back. Any color of pink or green gemstones will heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: Modalvite and Malachite for the Green, and Pink Crystal Quartz and Kunzite for the Pink color.

The Throat Chakra is the fifth Chakra located in the throat, and its color is "Light Blue". Its characteristics are expression, hearing (include psychic hearing), receiving others, communication, and creativity. It holds the blueprint of the physical body. Possibility for change, transformation and healing are located here, including healing one’s future verses the past, through karmic release. The throat can store our anger, and what we need to let go of. Throat Chakra body parts include the throat, neck, jaw, teeth, ears, hearing, and the thyroid gland. Any light blue gemstones will heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: Aquamarine, Blue Tourmaline or Turquoise.

The Third Eye Chakra is the sixth Chakra located between our brows, and its color is "Indigo". Its characteristics are where we see beyond physical realities into the psychic realm, for understanding of the non-physical truth. It is defined as the place of the Goddess Within. Third eye Chakra body parts include the eyes, face, and brain. Any indigo gemstones will heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: Azurite and Sapphire.

The Crown Chakra is the seventh Chakra located on top of our head, and its color is "Violet". Its characteristics are that it is the first point where the Soul enters into the body at birth through its return journey into this plane. It is defined as the place of the Goddess herself. Crown Chakra body parts include the spine and nervous systems. Any violet gemstones will heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: Amethyst and Serenite.

The Connection Point Chakra as I call it is the eighth Chakra located few inches from the crown Chakra and its color is "Clear or White". This is where communication with your guides and loved ones will take place and bring clarity to your link to guidance and peace. It is beyond our physical body and rarely has any effect on us. Any white or clear stone will heal and balance this Chakra. Recommended gemstones: White and Clear Quartz.

Oneness with the source Chakra as I call it, is the ninth Chakra located a few feet higher than the Connection Point Chakra and its color is "Gold". This is the level on which the soul works. The experience on meditating on this will differ for each of us as individuals because our experiences on a soul level are unique to each, every one of us for our own evolution at a soul level. It is a very high and strong Chakra, and it may be uncomfortable for some people. It will take some practice to get use to its energy. I never used any Gemstone for this Chakra but it is essential to have balanced the complete Chakra for it to work properly. You can use a mixture of the eight Gemstones from the different Chakra’s to heal and balance it.

I personally use the last two Chakras, but they are not necessary when first starting to use your Chakras when you start meditating. Once you become familiar with your centre points and try to tap into their energies then those Chakras can offer you some benefit and they will have their effect on you.

Chakras are a very important part of our life and we may accept this or not. It is a personal choice. Whatever your preference is on the subject, you will feels its effect in your daily life.

Pleasing Others
By Carrie Hart & Quado

A reader asks:

I am interested in knowing what my life purpose is. I try my best to please everyone and be a good person and I just feel like I am nothing sometimes. I want to be the best that I can be for my kids and for myself and everyone around me, but I feel that life sometimes seems so meaningless. I have gone through many hard times and I just really want to know if there is any purpose to me being here on earth and what I can do to be a better person and help others and make others proud to have me in this world.

Quado, do you have an answer to this question?

Ah, yes, of course, of course.

I am proud to have you on this earth. The angels who surround you are proud of each and every action you take, each time you draw another breath and step falteringly out on the path of your life. You are surrounded by spirit and by helpers. You are surrounded by guides who wish you well. You are surrounded by and fully embraced by love, the unending love of the universe.

And you can feel this love when you dip down into this moment, right now. When you sit alone in nature and allow yourself for a moment to just appreciate the sky, study the detail of a leaf. For this moment, you are, and in this being, you will find your own perfection, you will feel the love which is there for you and the deep loving and warm embrace of life.

And so, what you must do is come here often. You must put as your highest priority in life, higher than pleasing others, higher than accomplishing anything in particular, just spending a little time each day, breathing, relaxing and feeling your own oneness with the world, feeling who you are and how you fit into the scheme of things. Just a few minutes each morning to calm your busy mind, enjoy a touch of beauty and find a little peace. And then, as you go through your day, you can remember it, you can reach back with a deep breath and return to that brief moment of peace and joy and love you found in the morning.

And as life goes on and you continue to do this for a few more months, a few more years, you can begin to expand it and let more and more of your life find this calm space, this place of being which is there for you. And some day, gradually and day by day, you will find that you have achieved a sort of calm in the heart of your existence.

Your purpose is to be yourself. Your purpose is not to please others. It is to find the best and fullest and widest expression of who you are. And in order to do this, you will need to free yourself of the tyranny of trying to please everyone else. Of course there are many who are delighted to have you dedicate your life to them, and with children there is a certain point in their lives when it is, of course, necessary. But as they grow older, you can free yourself a bit and begin to explore who you are.

You will never please other people, because you cannot fill their needs. Just as no one else can truly fill your needs. You must please yourself. You must build inside a deep core of being and truth and joy and peace, a core of self love and a deep respect and honor of the person that you are. Your purpose is to be. That is why you are here. Just to be. And in this being, to open up to all of the talents and wonders that you are.

It is not possible to live for others, hoping to get from them the recognition, praise and appreciation you believe will make you happy. When you do this, you may appear to be giving, but you are actually needy and trying to get. But it will not work. You cannot get what you need to make yourself complete from anyone else, nor can you give it to them. You must be yourself, centered and whole. And you must ask that others do this as well, that they learn to complete themselves and give themselves what they need.

Begin with loving and respecting yourself, finding yourself in the quiet space of those morning moments alone. Then out of this love and respect for yourself you will find the strength to ask others to give you the respect you deserve, to treat you well, to honor who you are. This is not the same as trying to please them, as trying to get praise or recognition from them. All you are asking for is that they allow you to be who you are. That they allow you to express yourself honestly and live with integrity.

A true life of integrity may not please anyone else at all. But it will please you. A life of integrity is one in which you take the risk of displeasing others by speaking your own truth, doing what you believe is right, living your life as a testament to that feeling you have deep inside, that feeling that makes you feel calm and whole and centered. That peaceful center inside that knows your truth.

And if you have not reached this, if you do not know your own center, have not found your own truth, then your focus must be, above all else, to spend the daily time necessary to reach at least a little of this, just enough to learn to recognize when you have reached the core of truth within you, the place where you feel who you are really are.

This seed inside you, that feeling of peace in your solar plexus, that place you reach when you close your eyes for a moment , take a deep breath and listen to the sound of a bird, this place is the foundation for everything else good which will come out of your life. It is the place where you learn to know yourself. It is the place where you begin to give yourself the love and appreciation you have been trying to get from others. It is the answer to everything which is troubling you.

And you have a right to demand this of the people in your life, to demand a few minutes every day of peace and quiet, a few minutes in which you can be alone in your own space, breathing deeply, feeling who you are, just being the wonderful person you truly are deep inside.

Find yourself. Be yourself. Express yourself. Find the courage to dig deep and then bring out the wonderful, quirky, different and odd things that you are. Glow all over with who you are, no matter what anyone else thinks. Shine out in your wonder. Go deeply inside and find that glow, that fire, that wonder that is you.

Then your life begins to be a true gift to others, for then you are lighting the world up with your own glow. You are not trying to get from others, because you have everything. You are not trying to complete yourself because you recognize your own wholeness. You do not have to please anyone, because there is nothing you need from them in return. You are. And that is what you are meant to be.

A Lesson in Creative Recovery
By Jenny Boylan

Recently, I've had a major occurrence of writer's block (just in case you couldn’t tell by the absence of the newsletters). Although it's tempting to lay the blame for this block anywhere but on myself, this would not be honest. The truth is, I have been creatively blocked for a long time, but it wasn't until I committed to living truthfully that this unconscious awareness revealed itself.

Several weeks ago, when I began the pursuit, and recovery, of my creative authentic self, I had hoped it would make me a better writer. Instead, my writing came to a screeching halt. At first, I thought this was bad news. It wasn't. It was probably the best thing that had ever happened to me. No writing, combined with a self-imposed reading and TV deprivation, resulted in more time on my hands. More time on my hands, with nothing else "to do", led to an experience of self-intimacy. Self-intimacy pointed out, and none too subtly I might add, that the real creative block in my life was within my relationships. Self-intimacy led to the realization that the relationships in my life were in dire need of attention. Above all, self-intimacy highlighted the simple truth that my relationships would improve only as the relationship with my self deepened.

Until now, I would have stated that I had a good relationship with my self. Until now, I would have blamed the lack of love in my relationships on other people's flaws or imperfections. However, the recovery of my creative self demanded truth and the truth was that I needed to forgive or let go. I needed to forgive the anger I held towards other people because I couldn't admit I was hurt or that I felt unloved. This hurt or lack of love did not manifest because of their actions. Instead, it was already present within me as an absence of love for my self. My encounters within my relationships only brought it to the forefront of my consciousness.

In the past, my choices were to dismiss these relationships from my life. Yet, as I practiced a forgiveness affirmation, remembering that forgiveness simply means to let go, I touched the anger and then the underlying hurt beneath it. Underlying the hurt, I discovered an absence of love from my life that had been too painful to acknowledge. With new clarity, I saw and felt how much of my creative energy, how much of my very life force, I spent on suppressing this pain.

As I touched this pain, a new opportunity for forgiveness revealed itself. I needed to forgive me. I needed to forgive (let go) the standard of perfection that I held myself to. By holding myself to it, I couldn't allow for mistakes. I couldn't allow myself to be human. I couldn't allow myself to feel or acknowledge the pain within me.

Yet, by continuing to forgive, and through nurturing self-intimacy, I realized I no longer wanted to be angry or hurt. I wanted to love. However, the recovery process had shown me that love doesn't mean I'll never be angry again. Instead, now I know that if I become angry, it's only because there is a lack of love somewhere in my life. Once again, I'll forgive. Once again, I'll love something within me that needs love. Then perhaps, in time, the recovery of my creative authentic self will no longer be a recovery process. Instead, it'll be a loving, daily experience filled with many loving relationships.

And maybe, just maybe, by honestly sharing my story with you, you'll feel inspired to begin your own creative recovery, to improve the quality and love within your own relationships as the process leads you to loving your self!

Feng Shui with Style! Working with your Element Type
By Stephanie Roberts

When you begin to study feng shui, you quickly realize the importance of the qualities and characteristics of the five feng shui elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. This knowledge is essential to selecting appropriate colors, furnishings, and accessories for your home. You can also use your understanding of the five elements to develop a personalized feng shui strategy, based on the element that is reflected most strongly in your own style of living.

Metal energy is clean, simple, and detail-oriented. Earth is lush, nurturing and comfortable. Water is free-flowing, expressive, and intuitive. Wood is ambitious, forward-thinking, and practical. Fire is passionate, excitable, and changeable. Each of us has a unique combination of these five energies in our own personality, usually with one element dominating. This is reflected in how we decorate and use our homes. Some of us developed a strong style preference at a very early age, which continues to serve and suit us well. Others go through different phases as they progress through life. You may once have covered anything that didn't move in chintz and ruffles, but now find yourself appreciating the clarity of a more sparsely decorated space - or vice versa. During an earlier phase you may have been happy with few possessions and a minimalist lifestyle, only to find greater comfort now in the abundant colors and textures of a more lavishly decorated home.

The element that is strongest in your personality right now will influence your current decorating style, housekeeping habits, and your approach to feng shui. Your experience will be more fun and more comfortable when you tailor your feng shui strategies to your element style. Let's begin by seeing which of the five descriptions below most closely describes you:

• Neat Freak (METAL): I hate clutter! My home is always immaculate, with everything tidy and well-maintained,and I am very thoughtful about what I bring into my space.

• Pack Rat (EARTH): I love my stuff, and can't get rid of anything. My house is so full of clutter that when something is broken I can't even get to it to fix it.

• Free Spirit (WATER): I'm too busy being me to clean up! If something's a mess, I just toss a shawl over it. People say my home has lots of personality, and I am constantly redecorating and moving things around.

• Go-Getter (WOOD): Housekeeping? Home décor? Don't ask me; that's what the maid and decorator are for. I just want things functional and practical, and I need a quiet place to come home to at the end of a busy day.

• Whirlwind (FIRE): Enough of the quiz already! I have a million things to do and a short attention span-just tell me how to feng shui my house!

Many people are a combination of styles, so it may be hard to choose just one answer. If you're not sure, ask a few relatives or close friends for feedback; if you're a true Neat Freak, you may think your house is a mess even when it's immaculate by other people's standards! You may also find that you live one style, but secretly crave another. As a dyed-in-the-wool Free Spirit, for example, I regularly break the feng shui rules of good housekeeping because I'm just too busy creating, writing, and living to keep things as clean and organized as I would like them to be. But whenever I visit a Neat Freak's home, my soul goes "ahhhhhh." The trick is to be aware of what type of space you are really, truly most comfortable in. As much as I like visiting pristine, zen-like spaces, I know that I don't really want to live in one -- that if I did it would soon look just as lived-in as my current home.

Here are some guidelines, based on the element-affinities described above, to help you develop a personalized feng shui strategy:

NEAT FREAK
Your home is so neat and tidy that it may be a little rigid, sterile, or monochromatic. You tend to like the minimalist look, and are the most likely type to have all-white decor. If your furniture has been in the same position for years, look for ways to get chi moving without making more change than you'll feel comfortable with. Live plants and flowers will bring natural energy and color to your space. You may also need to add more personal touches here and there. Find a place to display a few favorite photographs of friends and family members, so there are some human images around you. Your love for clean, simple spaces and attention to detail mean you are probably on top of any maintenance or clutter issues, so focus on creating a good flow of chi through your home, counteracting any negative influences, and activating your power spots. Your clean and tranquil home is a wonderful environment for self-nurturing methods such as meditation and qigong.

PACKRAT
Your biggest problem is clutter! Closets are overflowing, you have three sets of everything, books are stacked two deep on every shelf, you've saved every greeting card you ever got, and all the flat surfaces in your home are piled with stuff. You might still be able to breathe, but your space isn't getting any chi at all! Create some breathing room in your home before you do anything else, or you'll just activate all your clutter into even greater chaos. Chances are you've been feeling a little stuck lately, so focus on getting rid of the old to make room for the new before you do anything else. Once you've cleared out enough stuff to get a good look at your house, make sure you've got a good flow of chi through the space and address any maintenance issues before making other feng shui changes. Your own chi will shift a lot as you clean out your home, so be sure to practice some grounding and balancing techniques as you go along.

FREE SPIRIT
You've been feng shui-ing your space since the day you first got your own bedroom, even if you didn't know to call it that. You are the type most likely to want to work on everything at once, so be sure to define some priorities before jumping into making changes. Your enthusiasm for creative décor may lead you to overlook basic maintenance issues and allow clutter to pile up. Take care of those first, then make sure that you are applying your individuality to your power spots rather than scattering it randomly about the place. Of all the types, you are boldest in your use of color, so get out the brush and roller and have some fun with feng shui color-theory. Make sure that you haven't overlooked any negative influences that should be corrected, and use your creativity to develop your own unique feng shui enhancements. You've probably tried a lot of different personal renewal methods over the years, but may not have kept up a consistent practice. Make a commitment to pay as much attention to the inner you as you do to your surroundings.

GO-GETTER
Your house is probably beautifully furnished and well maintained, but you may have delegated so many of your home-maintenance chores that you no longer have a strong energetic attachment to your space. Make sure you don't delegate all your feng shui tasks, too, or they won't have much power behind them. Find small, simple things you can do yourself and be sure to put some of your own energy into enhancing your key power spots. If you arrange for someone else to take care of other feng shui chores, it will be especially important to perform the body-speech-mind empowerments on each one when the work is done. Throw practicality out the window for a moment and choose one unique and unexpected item for your home that expresses the inner you others so rarely see. Chances are good you've been pushing yourself pretty hard for a long time, so be sure to make time for balance and renewal. A candle-lit aromatherapy bath will help you relax so you can enjoy your beautiful home.

WHIRLWIND
You're usually moving too fast to pay much attention to your house, but once you get into feng shui you'll want to get it all done in one afternoon. Do some planning before you begin, or you'll jump from one unnecessary embellishment to another without getting to the important stuff before you're distracted by the next exciting idea. You want to start with the wind chimes and water fountains because they look like the most fun, but if you skip over locating your personal power spots you won't know where to place them. And leaving the household maintenance tasks for later could sabotage your other efforts. You'll benefit from the discipline of empowering your changes with a daily ritual-it's an essential part of the process, and the thing you're most likely to skip! Promise yourself a massage when you're done, and splurge on a big bouquet of flowers as a centerpiece for your home, so you remember to stop and smell the roses from time to time.

Movie Alert: The Day After Tomorrow
By Stephen Simon

Hi To Our Worldwide Spiritual Cinema Community,

"Disaster" movies.

Why are we so drawn to them, particularly when they involve massive earth changes?

As a possible answer to that question, and before we discuss the specific details of The Day After Tomorrow, I would like to share with you the introduction to the chapter in my book (slightly edited for this Movie Alert) which I called:

FLOODS, FIRES, EARTHQUAKES AND RIOTS

Otherwise known as the four seasons in Los Angeles.

Seriously, why are there so many films that posit that the only way we can get to the future is to go through disaster first?

I believe that the answer lies in our sense memories as a species that have only experienced either catastrophe or decay. We have trouble envisioning positive futures because we have not in our past been able to evolve into one.

All of these films contain cautionary messages about the ways we have destroyed ourselves in the past - technology, overpopulation, pollution, nuclear power, violence, natural disasters, loss of freedom - and serve as reminders of what we are committed to avoiding this time around.

Taken just at face value, the messages of the films could be perceived by doomsday "enthusiasts" as frightening; however, I experience them very differently.

Once you have faced a fear head-on, it loses its power. If a warning light comes on in your car letting you know that you need oil, you stop at a gas station and add oil to the engine. The warning light then goes out. When seen from that perspective, the messages of these kinds of movies are actually about empowerment; that is, they exist to remind us of our understanding and promise to each other and ourselves that we will not allow any of these doomsday scenarios to ever happen…..again. The "glass half-empty" approach would be to look at these fears as a harbinger of terrible tragedies that are about to occur. The "glass completely full" approach sees the fears, acknowledges them, and simply determines that, however complex the engine may appear, adding oil to the crank case will keep the engine light off."

I believe that our fascination with The Day After Tomorrow is a direct result of one of those engine warning lights: global warming. NOT THAT WE FEAR IT WILL DESTROY US--BUT THAT WE ARE REMINDING OURSELVES THAT WE WILL NOT ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN THIS TIME!!!!!

We know that we have been experiencing noticeable weather changes over the last 10 to 15 years or so. As a native of Los Angeles, I can tell you that we used to have at least some kind of a winter there. Yes, Southern California "winter" meant temperatures in the 50's during the day and at least 4 to 5 months of rain on and off, but it was our version of winter, and it wasn't scorching hot most of the time, as it is now. I no longer live there but all of us who did--and still do--remember how things were and see how different things now are.

So, instinctively, we know that global warming exists; therefore, we respond from our wallets ($75 million in its first weekend) and our hearts when a film comes along that explores the phenomenon.

As to the "wallet" equation, the film is spectacular to watch--all the money in visual effects paid off and the film is worth seeing if only for that. The sequence of the sea sweeping into New York City (and a boat floating down one of the major streets in Manhattan) is one of the most jaw-dropping effects sequences I have ever seen. The story is a bit on the weak side but that's not really the point of the film anyway (or most Hollywood summer movies, yes?). Dennis Quaid plays a paleoclimatologist (look that one up!) who sees a big climate shift coming, although not as quickly as it indeed happens. When it hits, the world is slammed into a new Ice Age literally overnight and he must journey through the snow to find his son in the New York Public Library. Okay, so the science is way off---not even the wildest ecological pessimist believes that the scenario of this film could actually happen overnight, but, again that's really not terribly relevant, particularly to our hearts.

It is indeed the "heart" equation that is at the core of the film's appeal to us. Not necessarily the heart in the film itself, but the heart that beats inside us all. As I said in my book insert earlier, I believe that, on a subconscious level, we remember cataclysms from past civilizations that we didn't survive. And, just as strongly, I believe that we have chosen to be here on this planet at this time to assure ourselves, our children, and our eternal souls that we will NOT let that happen again.

The engine light of global warming just blinked on.

So, let's tend to the engine and turn that warning light off. Maybe we can switch to renewable energy and not even have to "add oil" this time!!

We are indeed the ones we have been waiting for.

The "real" day after tomorrow.....is ours.

Thought For The Moment: COMMITMENT

Look at your commitments. When you say you are committed to creating something or receiving something are you committed to having this or are your commitments “wishful thinking”. Do you hold the attitude of “wouldn’t that be nice”.
Understand that you create whatever you have had, what you have now, and what you will have in the future.

In order to receive you must first create. What will you give of your energies to create something?

After creating or giving of your energies you must then be willing to receive without judgment or expectation of how it (the manifestation of your creating) will show up.

This annual Gemini-Sagittarius face-off is a time when ideas and information flow at a very high rate. With expansive Jupiter and electric Uranus in challenging squares to the Sun and Moon, expect explosive news and breakthroughs. A Venus-Pluto opposition accompanies this lunation, bringing deeply held relationship issues to the surface. Circumstances can change quickly, but sorting out their meaning is likely to be a long-term process.
Mercury in Gemini
Saturday
June 5
5:48 am PDT

Communicator Mercury returning to its airy home sign supports a freer flow of information and ideas. Its gift is objectivity that overcomes the limits of rigid thinking. The mind actively seeks new sources of stimulation, flitting from person to person and subject to subject in the pursuit of knowledge.
Venus conjunct Sun
Tuesday
June 8
1:43 am PDT
A Venus-Sun conjunction is an annual occurrence, but this one is a rare event as Venus passes directly over the face of the Sun for the first time since 1882. This transit is a super-alignment of values (Venus) and will (Sun), an opportunity to be clearer about issues of self-worth, pleasure and relationships. Venus can operate as a lens to focus solar power more precisely, allowing us to bring more love and beauty into the world. .
Uranus Retrograde
Thursday
June 10

Revolutionary Uranus turning retrograde for the next several months is a time when liberation comes from within. Rebellion against external forces is less effective now, as freedom (Uranus' gift) is an individual journey to the interior of the psyche, waking old memories from the past to reveal the source of habits and reactions we no longer need.

The transit of Venus over the Sun and the Venus-Pluto opposition at the time of the Full Moon make this an intense month for relationships. While it's natural to want to avoid unpleasantness, the willingness to address unresolved issues is essential now. Hiding from uncomfortable truths only amplifies their negative effects. The Mars-Saturn conjunction in Cancer requires courage in the face of primal fears. The lesson is that security is not necessarily about holding onto the past, but in making a new path for the future.

Because Jeff sends these out during the New Moon, the rest of the month isn't revealed until later, so I will email the rest to the Newsletter's mailing list when I get it.

June Influences
By Ron & Robert Baker

The following information comes from Ron & Robert Baker and their Monthly Weather Report. For more information and to visit their website, see after the article.

In this second month of this particular segment, we will shift more of our focus to the MOTIVATION of your purpose – why we do what we do? Why are your choices important to you? What is behind the actions that you are taking? As you look honestly and with compassion at these issues, you will gain more clarity, letting go of more illusion and forfeiting the ideals that keep you from your grounded truth.

You will delve more fully in the subconscious mind, if you choose to look. As in each step of this healing process, some past motivations of the ego will fight to regain control. This is because the lower self can feel the real opening of the radiating soul force and you will gain much greater sensitivity energetically. Discernment in choices will grow as you commit to deeper truth as well.

The energies are encouraging us to look more fully at the meaning of things, getting specific with our individual truth. This will bring a greater depth to our experience. There will be great reward in a willing revelation of your inner truth, with profound feelings rising within. It is important to have an open, spontaneous mind and to be more fully focused in the present moment. This choice will threaten the limited, controlled choices of your safety zones or the realm of that which is familiar. However, as you practice, you will align the physical body with soul purpose.

There may be a new level of intensity of energy in our physical body, as we begin to look at what motivates us.

The focus of this month will build a bridge of the 2nd and 6th chakras. This may create an upheaval in relationships, both personal and with communication. It will reveal where they are soul connected and where they are not. There may be a strange sense of what connection is, based on the old model.

Your choices need a specific motivation that is inspired from within in order to maintain clarity.

Direction of purpose of soul is located mainly in the third eye or forehead (6th chakra). You will develop a deeper relationship to your purpose, revealing what sustains your choices. Headaches and pressure are possible as this attempts to open in your bodies. Some other physical symptoms that are likely in this month involve activity low in the body (based on how I create form). It will be an interesting month energetically.

Secrets behind the motivation of the Bush clan and the United Nations are possible this month as well. For instance, one thing that will be revealed eventually is that the coalition of a huge cartel scam, with large payoffs in third world countries that involves billions of dollars with surprising parties. More information about the true motivations of oil in Iraq will continue to surface.

About The Authors:

"It continues to be our goal to reach as many people as possible with these pieces of healing information. However, we also continue to be concerned about the need to gather specific tools with which to respond and integrate these changing energies. We feel it is vital to be able to put the pieces of the puzzle into a larger context of healing. That is why we have put together more specifics of the entire personal and planetary movement, as well as what we can continue to expect in each step, and a grounded process of dealing with these changes - in Ron's book, Revelations for a Healing World – Book One. It has already proved to help hundreds and hundreds of people all over the world. We hope that you will consider it as a tool to nurture and educate those around you at this time."

Ron Baker is an author, a self-empowerment coach, international teacher, Reiki Master, counselor and healing practitioner. The following information is excerpted from the New Millennium Being - An Astro report by Gururattan Khalsa. To view the report in its entirety please click here.

Venus will appear as a small object slowly crossing the face of the Sun for nearly seven hours June 8th. This “Venus transit” is the astrological event of the year. Venus passes between the Earth and the Sun every 584 days or so. But because the orbit of Venus is on a slight angle, we rarely see the planet cross the face of the Sun. This rare passage happens approximately every 120 years, in pairs eight years apart.

Passing during the daylight hours, through Western Europe to the Middle East, the transit will be visible in its entirety. The beginning but not the end will be visible in Australia and parts of Asia. As the Sun rises, certain locations in Western Africa and North and Central America will see part of the transit. *(1) On the West Coast in the USA, we will have to tune in with meditation during the early hours before sunrise.

During previous Venus transits, breakthroughs in human consciousness were initiated and significant developments in human communication came to pass. We have only observed these transits since the invention of the telescope. The past known Venus transits and events during those times are summarized in the footnote below. *(2)

The question people are asking now is -- What breakthrough will the 2004 and 2012 events unleash? Some prophesize a consciousness shift into a more heart-centered world. With the opening of intuitive awareness and mass meditation, this transit “could trigger a major breakthrough in the development of a new telepathic field on planet Earth.” *(3)

HEAVENLY HAPPENINGS

I have listed the major current astrological events in the footnote below. *(4) In this NMB I discuss the Venus Transit (June 8th), the Oneness Celebration (June 6-8th) and the Full Moon June 2nd. I will discuss Gemini in depth and the New Moon June 17th in NMB issue #89.

ONENESS CELEBRATION AND ENLIGHTENMENT

Around the globe, celebrations and meditations are scheduled between June 6th and 8th. Through the Internet, millions of people will find out and be brought together to participate in events to connect with Venus energy. In meditation and prayer we will transcend the mental constructs, physical distances and economic conditions that create illusions of separation and differences between us.

The Oneness Celebration June 6-8th launches a global call to humanity to collaborate to achieve enlightenment by the year 2012. Lest this goal seem like an outrageous fantasy, we can observe that the Venus Transit plays a very significant role in the Mayan Calendar. It is also a turning point in the Vedic tradition. The latter speaks of the Venus Transit of 2004 as the starting point of the Golden Age, a process that will be completed at the next Venus Transit in 2012.

The Venus transits in 2004 and 2012 are supporting humanity by offering us an intense dose of love energy to shift our consciousness. As Venus intensifies her beam of universal love to the planet, everyone will receive it, whether we notice it or not. Those who are receptive and take the time to feel the impact may have heart opening and oneness experiences.

ENLIGHTENMENT BY 2012?

But how is humanity going to achieve enlightenment by the year 2012? That is the question I want to examine. There are no hints of this shift in consciousness in the newspapers. Although there is plenty of violence and craziness to warrant the urgent need for any shift in consciousness that we can muster.

Humanity is in an intense phase of planetary evolution. The speed-up of time and the increased energy frequency on the planet are creating volatile change and rapid transformation. Pressurized change in a short period of time is usually confusing and chaotic. When energy shifts, our perception of reality shifts. When our reality shifts, our relationships are tested and our circumstances can be shaken to the core.

June 6 is a pivotal date in the Mayan calendar, when universal energies are optimal for integrating the right and left hemispheres of the brain and male/female energies. The fundamental reality shift is happening because male and female energies are coming into balance. For millennia humanity has been left-brain, male-dominated. Now our right -intuitive brain is being awakened. (Uranus in Pisces is also contributing to our expanded intuitive awareness. See NMB #62) Initially, expanded consciousness can create feelings of uncertainty, anxiety and fear. But as we learn to listen to our intuition and follow our hearts, we will stabilize into a new rhythm. Our expanded awareness will then enable us to function more effectively.

WE HAVE TO GET REAL

I have been reflecting on the heavenly activity in the next month and how it highlights themes that have been facing humanity for a while and intensifies issues that we will continue to confront. I think it all comes down to “Let’s get REAL.” I mean REALLY REAL. Not just superficially repeating we all want peace and love. Heh, everyone ever born has wanted peace and love. Humans incarnate to experience peace and love in physical reality. The intensity of the times suggests that we urgently need to get beyond the verbiage. We need to ask ourselves, What is really real? And how do we get really real? How can we experience the dimension of peace and joy that we know exists but haven’t yet been able to access?

Featured Artist
Atmara Rebecca Cloe

I began my work as a digital artist when I took a few computer classes (Photoshop, Illustrator. QuarkXpress, Pagemaker) in the fall of 1995. It was not until the next spring that I was able to get my own computer and really start learning and creating. And from there on in I'm pretty much self taught. I took a few art classes in college, but never had a lot of success with traditional media. I had to wait for computer technology to be where it is now to find a medium where I could truly express my talents. (And in the meantime I was busy expressing my creativity as a music teacher, but that's another story.)

My inspiration comes from lots of sources, and ultimately from the Universe, the "all that is" that we are all a part of. Sometimes I see something someone else has done and take the kernel of the idea and let it change and grow in whatever way it wants to. Sometimes I have a vague idea of an image I'd like to create, and I go from there and let it grow. Generally, I feel that there is an energy, another dimensional "beingness", if you will, that wants to be express through me and be given a form in this dimension. Sometimes it guides me very specifically as to what form to create and other times it just develops organically over time. At its best my work is a wonderful form of channeling and I feel so honored to be able to do it.

Most of my images start in Corel Bryce and move into Adobe Photoshop for special effects, filtering and compositing. I also use Poser and Infini-D, as well as, occasionally, Adobe Illustrator.

I am constantly delighted to watch as my art expands into new areas, such things as magazine and book covers, cd's, videos, greeting cards, screen savers, mugs--whatever the Universe brings. I'd like to serve others in the New Age/Spiritual Growth/Holistic Healing world--help support their work with my art either online or in print. Although I don't want to limit myself to just this market. One of the first things that happened when I put my first gallery online was that I was contacted by a software firm (they create custom software for the medical industry) who wanted to buy the rights to one of my pictures to use on a brochure. They felt it embodied the energy of their business and the direction they wanted it to go. It was a very New Age looking image with crystals and such, not the sort of thing I would expect the business world to embrace, but you just never know.

Creating this artwork is an ecstatic experience for me, and I hope that I can use it to help others manifest their dreams as well.

Atmara currently lives in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire were she is constantly inspired by the beauty around her.
