Addiction
to Worry
By
Margaret Paul, Ph.D.
|
|
Carole started
counseling with me because she was depressed. She had been ill
with chronic fatigue syndrome for a long time and believed her
depression was due to this. In the course of our work together,
she became aware that her depression was actually coming from
her negative thinking - Carole was a constant worrier. Many
words out of her mouth centered around her concerns that something
bad might happen. "What if I never get well?" "What
if my husband gets sick?" "What if I run out of money?"
(Carole and her husband ran a very successful business and there
was no indication that it would not go on being successful).
"What if my son gets into drugs?" "What if my
kids don't get into good colleges?" "What if someone
breaks into the house?"
Her worry
was not only causing her depression, but was also contributing
to her illness, if not actually causing it. Her worry caused
so much stress in her body that her immune system could not
do its job of keeping her well. Yet even the awareness that
her worry was causing her depression and possibly even her illness
did not stop Carole from worrying. She was addicted to it. She
was unconsciously addicted to the sense of control that worry
gave her.
I understood
this well because I come from a long line of worriers. My grandmother's
whole life was about worrying. She lived with us as I was growing
up and I don't remember ever seeing her without a look of worry
on her face. Same with my mother - constant worry. Of course,
I picked up on it and also became a worrier. However, unlike
my mother and grandmother, who worried daily until the day they
died, I decided I didn't want to live that way. The turning
point came for me the day my husband and I were going to the
beach and I started to worry that the house would burn down
and my children would die. I became so upset from the worry
that we had to turn around and come home. I knew then that I
had to do something about it.
As I started
to examine the cause of worry, I realized that worriers believe
that worry will stop bad things from happening. My mother worried
her whole life and none of the bad things she worried about
ever happened. She concluded that nothing bad happened because
she worried! She really believed that she could control things
with her worry. My father, however, never worried about anything,
and nothing bad ever happened to him either. My mother believed
that nothing bad happened to my father because of her worry!
She really believed until the day she died (from heart problems
that may have been due to her constant worry) that if she stopped
worrying, everything would fall part. My father is still alive
at 92, even without her worrying about him!
It is not
easy to stop worrying when you have been practicing worrying
for most of your life. In order for me to stop worrying, I needed
to recognize that the belief that worry has control over outcomes
is a complete illusion. I needed to see that, not only is worry
a waste of time, but that it can have grave negative consequences
on health and well-being. Once I understood this, I was able
to notice the stomach clenching that occurred whenever I worried
and stop the thought that was causing the stress.
Carole is
in the process of learning this. She sees that her worry makes
her feel very anxious and depressed. She sees that when she
doesn't worry, she is not nearly as fatigued as when she allows
her addiction to worry to take over. She sees that when she
stays in the moment rather than projecting into the future,
she feels much better. The key for Carole in stopping worrying
is in accepting that worry does not give her control.
Giving up
the illusion of control that worry gives us not easy for anyone
who worries. Yet there is an interesting paradox regarding worry.
I have found that when I am in the present moment, I have a
much better chance of making choices that support my highest
good than when I'm stuck thinking about the future. Rather than
giving us control, worry prevents us from being present enough
to make loving choices for ourselves and others. Worrying actually
ends up giving us less control rather than more!

When Self-growth
becomes Self-sabotage
By
Marie-Pier Charron
|
|
Many of
us invest quality time and energy into our personal development.
We buy inspiring books, sometimes with the workbooks or journals
that complement them. We discuss psychology with our friends
or we look for friends with whom we can have open discussions
on the subject. There is activity in our mind at times
a little bit of confusion. We encounter so many different lines
of thoughts, so many tools, so many exploratory exercises we
can do. Its as if we were in the middle of a dense, majestic
forest
Then, maybe
it happened to you, you reach a point where you dont feel
satiated anymore after reading the hot new self-improvement
book
The workshop just feels like another workshop
Philosophical discussions feel more like empty calories
Its
not that your head is full: its more that you are hungry.
You are hungry, because you have tasted - sometimes chewed
the wisdom you have read or heard, but you havent digested
and integrated it. Dont we benefit from relaxing and taking
a break after a good meal?
I think
none of us have ever seen, written in the back of a book, You
dont need to read me all the wisdom is within you.
No publisher would be so open-minded (or masochist)
Besides,
we are the ones who have to figure out for ourselves how we
can best use the resources available to us how we can
use them to connect to our own inner wisdom, inspirations, intuitions.
Other peoples insights are guiding lights. We dont
need a zillion guiding lights, in fact we get lost if we are
surrounded by too many of them they point in too many
different directions. Their role is simply to show us possibilities,
which we can consider
and once we have chosen something
to be our truth, we close the book, we turn the light off, and
we get in touch with our own inner guidance.
One simple
concept can drastically change our life. It can be, Love
yourself, it can be, Be all that you can be,
or Fear is an illusion... But none of these makes
real sense, no concept will truly transform our life, if its
not integrated in every cell of our body, if it doesnt
feel as tangible as if it came from us in the first place. We
keep reading and listening to teachers, and experts;
but whos the best expert, when it comes to you, or when
it comes to me?
I believe
nothing in self-growth has to be hard and complex. You can sit
in silence, you can look inside yourself with wide open eyes,
and you will see, or feel, the precise wisdom you
need at that exact moment. Its not always exactly what
we want to hear in fact, often its not, so we refuse
to accept it but sometimes thats what self-growth
is about, thats what we really need to bring ourselves
to the next level. That being said, its easier sometimes
to face a book, or another person, than it is to truly face
and accept ourselves. And lets acknowledge the fact that
we often prefer complicated answers, and techniques.
Self-sabotage
is a strong word
What I tried to convey with the provoking
title is that, at some point, the energy we dedicate to self-growth
resources may better serve us (in terms of self-growth) if we
invest it elsewhere: in introspection
in basic down-to-earth
actions
in meditations
or maybe in fun things
Sometimes we have an endless to-do list that causes us major
stress, and instead of simply doing what must be done, we will
read a book on relaxation, do yoga, or else
Sometimes
we are a little gloomy, we just need to loosen up, laugh, and
have fun
but we will attend a workshop on a subject we
think will provide us answers. Not that it wont! Obviously,
none of this is bad sometimes it may even
be the most constructive things to do
but what Im
highlight here is that sometimes, it may not. Finally, I guess
my point is: self-growth can be everything, you have access
within yourself to all the wisdom there is, and you are magnificent
beyond what you can imagine. .

Daily Spiritual Practices
By Carrie Hart & Quado
|
|
A reader
asks:
Could
Quado talk a bit about how to live more in the now, this moment,
and how to focus on the little things instead of worrying about
the expectations we put on ourselves for the big things?
Quado
Responds:
You cannot
expect the habits of a lifetime to disappear in a day, a week
or even a year. If you have spent a lifetime with certain habits
of thinking, your mind will continue down these pathways until
they are gradually rebuilt.
What you
can do is consciously begin to alter these old patterns, by
watching your mind and inserting a choice between the stimulus
and the response. And after a time with this new retraining,
you will perhaps be able to build a new pathway in which you
have a new response from the same stimuli.
Yes, this
takes time. But it is possible and you can do it.
One of the
primary reasons that you need to meditate every day, at least
a few minutes of quiet contemplation and putting your mind at
ease, is to help you get control over your mind. If you do not
have any control here, then your mind will just trigger off
old events and old emotions and take you into the old negative
ways of thinking and responding. But the practice of meditation
will help you to calm your mind, to quiet it down a bit and
then give you the option to insert a bit of choice into how
you wish to respond.
Continue
in this habit of policing your mind and it will eventually transform
your life. Not overnight, no. But eventually, and little by
little, yes.
You may
also use affirmations, of course, as part of your retraining.
This is simply the process of countering a negative thought
with a positive one. This is particularly effective if you have
several habitual negative thoughts, limiting thoughts, that
need to be corrected. Just pay attention to what they are, write
them down and then craft a counter affirmation. If your mind
continually says: "I cant do this. Im terrible
at math. Then every time this thought pops up in your
mind, just stop, take a deep breath and say silently to yourself,
I am very good at math. I am strong and capable and can
handle whatever occurs.
But then,
you probably know all of this. And yet you are still struggling.
Yes, yes. A certain amount of this mental buzz you will just
have to accept. And you will also have to accept that it will
take time and consistent application of meditation, mind policing
and affirming to change the way your mind works. So just relax
and let it be. Relax and do not work hard, just do it, gently.
It is important
not to try and strive and work hard at this. If you do, you
are creating anxiety and pressure, which is the opposite of
what you desire. Make all of these exercises gentle and easy.
Never respond to your buzzing mind with anger and frustration,
just causing another negative response. Respond always gently.
Perhaps just saying next to the negative thought
which pops up and then moving on.
You will
also do well to establish a regular routine of spiritual practice.
Some of the elements might be: Lingering in bed for a moment
before you get up and consciously pulling in the energy from
your spirit guide, power animal and angels and letting them
fill you with their special gifts; a daily journal of three
steam-of-consciousness pages to release negative energies; sitting
quietly in the same place each morning for your meditations;
contemplating an object of beauty or nature for a few minutes,
just focusing in on it and brining yourself down into the moment,
deeply into now; stepping outside, lifting your face and your
arms to the sky, breathing in the energy of the universe deeply
and then scooping it all in toward your heart, bringing in the
wonder and glory of the universe and letting it pour into you;
while you shower or bathe, just mentally reaching up from the
crown of your head and feeling the golden shaft of energy which
connects you to your soul self, and keeping that energy flow
open until it makes you smile from the joy you feel; while you
walk across the parking lot to work, pausing to say hello to
a tree you especially like, gazing up at the sky through its
leaves and breathing in the fresh oxygen it is giving you.
There are
many such sacred moments you can incorporate into your day.
And each one will help over time.
Establish
disciplines in the morning like these. Choose the sequence,
the place. If you cannot do them all, alternate on different
days. Experiment with what works for you.
And then
through the day, when stress and worry want to come in and disturb
you, you will have an entire arsenal of sensory material to
call on. You will have companions you can reach. Just take yourself
back to one of the moments, possibly with a conscious physical
gesture or just a deep breath and visualization. Do things like
contemplating a flower in the morning while you are at peace
and then putting in on your desk during the day. Then every
time you are stressed, glance at your flower and take a deep
breath and bring yourself back to the peaceful moment.
You will
be amazed at how you can train your body to responds to these
cues, if you will but set up the disciplines and practice them
regularly.
Then you
have a new stimulus response. Situation: Your boss yells at
you. Old response: Your stomach clutches up and your shoulders
tighten. New response: You immediately go to your desk, gaze
at the flower, take a deep breath and release the tension and
anxiety. And over time, you will be able to go directly to the
flower in your mind and learn to bypass at least some of the
first old response.
Relax. Be
easy on yourself. Say wonderful things to yourself. Let sweet
loving chemicals go pouring through your body, telling each
and every cell how deeply it is loved. You can train yourself
to do this. Just be patient and calm and disciplined and it
will happen. Gradually, yes. But it will happen.

Spirit Signs - November 2004
By Robyn Johnston
|
|
For those
of you that are on an accelerated path, I invite you to pull
over with me for a few minutes! Of coarse, that means anyone
reading this should be in the above category. We are all on
exciting paths toward transformation and change, isn't that
why we signed up for this particular tour?
In the
past several months, I have been focusing on the spiritual path,
being able to identify the correct and easiest route to take.
Ahhh! Fellow travelers, it is time we pause to reflect and take
stock of where we have come in the past few month. This newsletter
is dedicated to all the go-getters and overachievers! Even if
you are a little slow in admitting it!
I don't
tend to look at myself as an over-achiever, although I have
been called that by others. I also don't think I work all that
hard, but my body reminds me from time to time that I need to
slow down!
I realize
that as humans we are subjected to a wide range of influences,
everything from economics to the celestial energies. However,
I believe that with a little insight and focus, we can be in
the drivers seat for most of the trip.
What am
I getting at? Well it seems the closer we get to the changes
and transformational energy the more we feel the need to achieve,
to get things done and put in motion all the things we know
we need to be doing and should be doing and want to be doing.
For example,
if you are in an unsupportive job right now, you may be feeling
blocked, frustrated, unhappy and miserable. The same could ring
true for those who are in relationships that have been outgrown.
It's normal and natural to outgrow careers, relationships, habits,
and lifestyles that used to fit us. While all of us probably
welcome changing to smaller sizes of clothes, wouldn't it make
sense that we can and should welcome life changes too!
Many of
my clients share that they feel there is greater work ahead.
They want to get things done, but they feel stuck or trapped
and aren't sure how it get through the mud! It is a common theme
for those who energetically sense a better, brighter future
is at hand. We all have the ability to feel the power of change,
but like it or not, our physical and metal bodies sometimes
reject that which we know to be spiritually good for us.
How do
we cope? I would like to suggest the simplest of pleasures.
Take in the power of a sunrise or a sunset. Allow the glow and
magnitude of the sun to brighten and lift your well being. Take
each day as it comes. In ancient Egypt citizens celebrated each
day as a gift. They believed that the journey of the sun mirrored
the struggle in daily life. "To the Egyptians this daily
journey of the sun symbolized the struggle between the powers
of Light and Life and the power of Darkness. This was a struggle
that the people felt going on within themselves. When the sun
reappeared each morning as the glorious young Horus, people
rejoiced. Evil had been conquered during the long night. Good
had triumphed, and by midday the great god Ra would shine down
again on the broad fields of Egypt beside the River Nile. The
grain would ripen and life would go on," - Elizabeth
Helfman, Signs and Symbols of the Sun.
Taking
brisk walks outdoors, connecting with nature, playing with children
and or pets, researching a favorite topic, investigating a new
hobby, reading inspirational books, and doing nothing but deep
breathing are other suggestions to assist in bringing in balance
to one's being.
I think
one of the most challenging things for many of us is to live
fully in the present. While we are all projecting for a better
world, and more conscious living, we are not fully anchored
to the here and now. We need grounding activities to assist
us in being fully in the present so that we are indeed creating
real changes, rather than building our "castles in the
clouds".
Many of
us have learned to use the powers of visualization and manifestation.
We live in a time in history that allows us to use our bodies,
minds and spirits as divine tools for attracting what we need.
They key is to find balance between anchoring the present and
tying it into the present. There is a fine line. We know that
in order to get what we want in the future, we must offer the
spirit of gratitude for what we have in the present. How would
we appreciate it otherwise? This is definitely a concept that
I continue to work with. I am so excited for the changes to
come that I also find myself "living in the future"
at times. It is important to be aware of those moments (or days)!
Yes, that is why I signed up for this mission. There is much
to learn.
So as I
sit in the stillness of this day, I offer up my blessings. I
am going to put my map away for a little while. Its time to
enjoy the view, take in the scenery that this day is offering.
Will you join me? Ponder this as you sit quietly, it is spoken
by the character Oogruk from Gary Paulsen's Dongsong,
"It isn't the destination that counts. It is the journey.
That is what life is. A journey. Make it the right way and you
will fill it correctly with days. Pay attention to the journey.
Blessings
of Peace be with you as you make your way!

Fabulous Feng Shui- November 2004
By Robyn Johnston
|
|
As I write
this newsletter I am amazed at the amount of chaos many of us
are experiencing at this time. It seems that the universe if
offering purification for those who are most interested in cleaning
up their past cycles and clearing the way for new ones. I have
worked with several clients over the past couple of months who
find themselves in the middle of major life changes, stress
and chaos. I also find it interesting that the ones who resist
the changes are the ones most afflicted by the circumstances.
In careful
study of the ki energy, one can usually spot patterns. In the
nine star ki philosophy this is a five earth year. The theme
is karma and everyone is finding themselves facing their past,
present and future all at once. The universe offers these times
so that all the garbage and debris of our past cycles can come
to the surface for recycling. The key is to recognize this as
a gift and honor it.
When I share
this with clients, I get some interesting responses! "You
mean I should be overjoyed that my life is a mess right now?
Oh! It's a good thing that I am broke and struggling to make
my payments. You're saying I should be glad that I am about
to loose my job?"
It is important
to look at the context of the situation. What decisions have
you made that have lead up to this situation? Are you taking
responsibility for your actions or are you in denial that you
have ability to create the life you want, at this very moment?
Maybe the loss of a job, relationship or finances is just what
your spirit needs to clear up the past, release limited thoughts,
project you into a bright future and propel you in the life
that you have been dreaming of.
We live
in a fantastic time in history. The old chains that one held
us in place are now being melted by a powerful new energy. Many
are being awakened by spirit. We no longer have to abide by
old rules, and limited thoughts. We have been gifted the opportunity
to manifest what we want and desire and it is happening at a
record speed.
These changes
are symbolized through different events around the world. Many
authors and teachers write of the wars, earthquakes and natural
disasters as the way that Mother Earth is purifying herself.
Being inhabitants on her, doesn't it make sense that our lives
will also reflect the chaos and upheaval on personal levels?
After all, we are deeply tied to the planet we have chosen to
manifest on.
Many people
have said they wish that babies came with instructions at birth!
Wouldn't it be handy if we had access to these instructions
throughout adult life? Well guess what? We do!
When most
of us take a trip, we have a general idea of what it will be
like, but no one can really predict the details of the journey.
How boring would that be? Isn't it the little surprises along
the way that make the journey such a memorable event? We can
apply the same type of enthusiasm to our life situations. If
we knew everything along the way, it would be pretty mundane.
Although
I don't expect people to jump up and down with excitement in
the face of upheaval and chaos, the perceptions one brings to
the situations can play a major role in its success.
Looking
at perceived difficulty with openness and insight can often
alter the situation in a way that wasn't visible before. For
example, the loss of a relationship can be extremely traumatic.
However once the pain has been recognized and honored, it can
be released. New thoughts can be brought in through affirmations
and visualization. With this new awareness, people often find
that indeed the relationship was no longer supportive of who
they were, who they want to be or where they are headed.
Our spirits
know what we need. We are surrounded with blessed support and
love on a variety of levels. It is important to recognize that
we never signed on to do this alone. By being aware of the signs
around us, we can navigate our way through the challenging times.
There is
much support available. One of my favorite support tools is
the I Ching, or book of changes. There are several cards that
come to mind when faced with perceived difficulty. Here's a
sample from the I Ching book and card pack by Richard Craze:
Card 23,
Falling Apart, "Everything is falling apart-but it has
to. You cannot rebuild until you have torn down your old ways.
But you don't have to do anything-its all being done for you.
Trust the grerat power of the universe to work in your favor,
even though sometimes this will be painful. You have to trust
that things will improve, but first they must be dismantled.
This includes personal relationships."
Card 38
Disunion, "Things seem to be out of kilter for a wile,
but there has to be balance in all things: no rain, no rainbows,
no disunion, no union. Be patient and stay true to your dreams.
Card 49 Revolution, "There is a wind of change in the air-revolution.
Are you with it or against it? Changes are you will be swept
away if you aren't ready for it. Be prepared. Revolution is
a natural event based on the turning of the seasons. You cannot
stop it, nor can you hide from it. Embrace it and be at its
head. It is a natural cycle.
Wow! The
wisdom of the ancients are still very applicable to today!
We are not
asked to do the impossible, we are simply being asked to clear
the path for better, brighter things to come our way. One of
the components of Feng Shui is that everything changes. Isn't
that what we want? If things were easy and smooth all the time,
would we appreciate it? Would we learn and grow? Who would we
ever become without the conflict, chaos and confusion?
Our lives
can become beautiful dances, lively adventures, rewarding experiences,
if we choose to look at them in this light. If we can stop the
inner struggle, recognize that we are always safe and look at
the situation as a way to learn and become an even greater manifestation
of who we are, we harness the energy that always available.
Its also
pretty natural to feel that you can't do it alone! Maybe you
weren't meant to find your way all by yourself. Others are awakening
to their gifts of service. Seek a qualified guide on your journey,
but hold on loosely! Some guides come in stay for a long time,
others may come only for a brief moment! There are tons of people
who are opening their psychic senses. There are a variety of
readings, services and oracles that are available to assist
in achieving clarity. Follow your heart and intuition to find
those genuine souls who have dedicated themselves to being lights
of service. Follow your spirit to learn the higher lessons it
is desiring to teach you.
Tune into
your spirit map, it lies deep within your heart. Oh! You didn't
know it was there...Looks like you came with some instructions
after all!! Maybe you just needed the right language to decipher
the message.
Peace be
with you on your journey!

I
open my mind to receive. I am grateful for the life of
my dreams. I have more than enough money. Wealth comes
to me easily and effortlessly. People love to give me
money. I revel in abundance, manifesting incredible blessings,
and sharing them freely.
My
gifts are richly rewarded. I am joyous and kind. Generosity
flows, and I graciously reap what I sow. Gratitude is
my guide.
Today
I do something different, even the smallest step. I think
a new thought, take another street, try a different drink.
I remember that the world is full of choices, and the

Featured Artist
Gilbert Williams
|
|
Gilbert
Williams is the world's most renowned and revered Visionary
painter. His canvases glow with transcendent light and a remarkable
panorama of archetypal images: temples, groves, lakes and light
beings, goddesses and nature spirits, moons and magical mountains.
Gilbert
Williams was born in Santa Monica, California, on January 2,
1950. When he was five, his family moved to Anaheim, California.
Williams' career
as a professional painter began in earnest in Mt. Shasta, California,
in late 1970s, when he began selling paintings in local galleries.
Major national magazines took notice, and so did Hollywood. His
images have been used for album covers by Michael Jackson, by
Crosby, Stills & Nash, and for the Fresh Aire albums produced
by Mannheim Steamroller & The London Symphony. They have also
been used as cover art and illustration by Omni Magazine. His
reputation spread rapidly, and in the early 1980s Williams became
the featured painter at the Illuminarium Gallery and Isis Rising.
Now Williams' originals are frequently sold to collectors within
days of completion. And Isis Rising publishes notecards, posters,
matted art, art books and lithographs of Williams' works.
Currently,
Williams lives in California, enjoying both work and family.
"I am happily single after surviving two marriages,"
he says. "My daughter, whom I raised as a single parent,
just turned 26 and is living in New York and studying acting.
The rest of my family lives here in California, and we get together
regularly." His says that his own "favorite artist"
changes from time to time. He continues studying art history,
and enjoys finding an artist that inspires him with new ideas.
Just now that is William Waterhouse, one of the late pre-Raphaelites.
He is also as fascinated by science as ever. "Science gives
us a cosmic perspective and clue to our future evolution. It
also connects us to our true past through archaeology, one of
my biggest interests."
Finally,
as is obvious from everything about his painting, Williams has
a deep and ever-expanding interest in metaphysics, and a deep
friendship with Lazaris, with whom he creates the annual Lazaris-Gilbert
Williams Calendar.

Movie
Alert: I (heart) Huckabees
By Stephen Simon
|
|
"I
(HEART) HUCKABEES" just may be the strangest film I have
ever seen.
It just may be one of the strangest films ANYONE has ever seen!
I'm not sure that there is a simple--or even complex?--way of
describing the film and I am not even sure if I liked or loved
it....was bored or transfixed ...was stimulated or depressed.
Maybe all of the above? I can say for sure, though, that the
film is utterly innovative in its style and subject matter and,
as such, has no historical precedent. Maybe "What's Up
Doc" meets "Harold and Maude" meets "What
the Bleep" meets "The Simpson's"????
It is....uh....strange.
Loosely told, the film is about two "existential"
detectives (Lily Tomlin and Dustin Hoffman--both hilarious and
wonderful) who delve deeply into the psyches, souls, and very
essence of their clients to help them resolve complicated life
issues. Their vision of life is positive and utterly metaphysical
and their mantra is literally "we are all one." Their
counterpart, played by the estimable French actress Isabelle
Huppert, presents the other dark shadow side of life being cruel,
manipulative, and deceitful. In essence, the characters and
the audience are plunged into nothing less than a metaphysical
drama about what is real and unreal, positive and negative.
Along the way, we meet an assortment of truly eccentric and
sometimes oddball archetypes, all of whom represent various
aspects of human integration and disintegration.
The film is ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR EVERYONE! It''s "R"
rating is well-earned---for language and some sexuality. For
those of you, however, who are looking for something completely
different, unsettling, entertaining, exasperating, stimulating,
and challenging, give it a shot! And, without ruining the ending,
the last line of dialogue in the film is so delicious and such
a perfect metaphor for the way we create obstacles in our own
lives, that it is worth the journey of the film itself. I always
remember the last line of "SOME LIKE IT HOT" as being
the best last line ever in a movie ("Nobody's perfect!")---but
HUCKABEES comes very close in its own way to matching that impact.
With affection
and gratitude,
Stephen Simon

Monthly
Energy Report
By
Ron & Robert Baker
|
|
In the third
month of this segment, you are prepared to move into the focus
of INTEGRATION of the new. This will be a month of dealing with
the upheavals that have taken place as you have challenged the
outer with your new inner truths. This will eventually bring
you into the peace of the neutral center point.
This will
be a time of trial and error as you apply new choices and learn
how to implement your new truths into the form of your lives.
It will be facing the cold, heart light of what is real.
The soul
sees reality from the point of view that everything that is
happening is there to serve, to teach and to inform us in our
individual experience. It does not see the things in the world
as there to validate a sense of being. It serves to show us
our commitments where we are loving parts of ourselves
and where we are controlling, fighting, resisting and attempting
to get rid of the things that reflect our wounded feelings.
It will
be a time to awaken the 6th sensory awareness, beginning slightly
in October. We will begin to have flashes of awareness
as well as telepathic abilities, if we are living in that neutral
space of receptivity. The highest level of communication is
through the realm of intuition. That is directly connected to
the soul essence of things, accessed through a neutral heart
connection.
In these
months, we will be negotiating the astral realm to work our
way to the bridge of the soul realm. This will involve looking
at the collective belief systems and how they hold us as individuals
in the prison of herd consciousness trying to fit in
and get the love from outside the self. We will be seeing group
consciousness reflected in religious beliefs, governmental beliefs,
and cultural beliefs in order to find a safe place in
the world.
We will
realize that sense of safety can only come from a peace with
who we are as individuals. As we learn to celebrate that individuality
and our personal power, we will eventually come together as
a collective consciousness of individuals who are fulfilling
themselves and supporting one another.
The inner
reality will take place first. Then we will learn to act based
on that inner connection and truth. The progression of this
four-month period will move us more deeply into the subconscious
to plant the new seeds of our evolving inner truth. This requires
the disillusionment of anything that has held us prisoner of
the requirements to be loved from these group dynamics.
This is
the month when the heart chakra will open like never before.
It may even feel raw, unprotected and unsafe as we get used
to this new place of soul connection. It may feel like the self
we have known is dissolving. This is, of course, not possible.
But it is the first connection to neutrality, as it is experienced
by the old familiar way of sensing.
As we move
through this process, there will be a greater sense of inner
light that takes place or reveals itself in the neutrality.
As we allow this in the emptiness, we will come to realize the
value of that space. To not describe ourselves through any limitations
or attachments will allow us to know the Self from an inclusive,
much bigger connection to all that is.

About
The Authors:
"It
continues to be our goal to reach as many people as possible
with these pieces of healing information. However, we also continue
to be concerned about the need to gather specific tools with
which to respond and integrate these changing energies. We feel
it is vital to be able to put the pieces of the puzzle into
a larger context of healing. That is why we have put together
more specifics of the entire personal and planetary movement,
as well as what we can continue to expect in each step, and
a grounded process of dealing with these changes - in Ron's
book, Revelations
for a Healing World Book One. It
has already proved to help hundreds and hundreds of people all
over the world. We hope that you will consider it as a tool
to nurture and educate those around you at this time."
Ron
Baker is an author, a self-empowerment coach, international
teacher, Reiki Master, counselor and healing practitioner. Before
pursuing a career in the healing arts, he was very successful
as a performing artist - acting in over 60 leading roles in
film and on Broadway and opera stages around the world. His
life is now dedicated to educating and inspiring others to tap
deeper layers of personal potential and self-empowerment.

This is
an area I'd like to offer to our subscribers for distant healing
services. If you have a need for distant healing or prayer and
energy work, or you know of someone who would like some, please
send me an email at dekora@tds.net
with "newsletter healing request" in the subject and
the person's name, location and reason for the need of healing
in the main email. This isn't just for healing, it can be also
a request for extra energy for another reason (ie. please send
energy to help Sandra find a new job), all requests for love
and help will be honoured.
Each month
I will post the new people who need healing in this area of
the newsletter and encourage all members to send distant healing,
prayer and energy to the people in the healing circle.

I
need your help. I am suffering from a serious eating disorder,
bulimia. It has really gotten much worse now that I am working
with PTSD exposure work. Food is my drug and I have been
self harming with food, the cycle of binging and purging
has left me weak and depressed. I need strength and encouragement
to make it through this. Thank you, you are a blessing.
