7. Health and Healing
The idea that energy-in-motion (emotion) follows thought becomes readily apparent in this principle. Stated simply: the mind directs the body; you (spirit) direct your mind.
Recently, the field of knowledge about health, called "psychosomatic medicine," has experienced growth and acceptance, as more people have become aware of the mind-body connection.
All illness has its primary origin in the mind rather than in the body. Stress and pain result from an imbalance somewhere in your being. Mental pain expresses itself in scattered thinking, mental blocks, limiting beliefs, and misperceptions.
Self-mastery is perhaps the greatest of accomplishments. It is apparent when we come into alignment in all of our bodies. The conscious aligning of our bodies brings us into a state of being that is totally healthful and rejuvenating.
Having good physical, emotional and mental health gives our spirit a more powerful and energetic place to dwell. Thus, we can be more focus on our life’s dreams, vision, and goal.
How could you go on creating if you are walking wounded? You just can’t forget - your anger, hate, shock, and failures in life. How could you be successful, much less put up a business? You are going through life but you’re dead inside.
Loving ourselves will heal and change our lives. It’s the first step in the right direction. We heal ourselves by recognizing our own worth, our true nature, without the "baggages".
