A suspended University of Toledo police officer charged with four counts of aggravated trafficking was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond during an appearance yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court before Judge Francis Gorman.
Gerald Owens, 38, of 1951 Clarendon Drive was arrested by Toledo police Tuesday afternoon. He is accussed of buying small quantities of crack on at least four different occasions over the last several months.
The nine-year veteran of the University of Toledo Police Department has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings.
