And the air surrounding me
is fragrant
and cool.
Moonlight
Shines through the trees
There are no other beings out
And a single star shines brightly.
Street lights
glowing in the dark
Orbs of light
here and there.
Crickets singing their song,
An owl in the tree,
and leaves tumbling along the sidewalk.
I can hear the cars racing by
But humanity is not where I wish to be.
Nature
and Her ways of making everything right
Mother Earth
protecting me.
All are reminders
of what life is truly about.
