Poor Bonnie had to have her as a step mother from a young age. Ick. I definitely think that she was jealous of Bonnie.
Elice was a sad character. All she had was her material possessions. Those ceramic donuts, what a joke. I know people like her and I too try to avoid them. All concerned with appearances, material things and making others feel small.
Elice giving the Duke hard time about still driving his old car really showed the differences between the two of them. He really does not care about material things and appearances. He was fine driving his old tank. She was nagging him about buying and new one and thinking that he was spending too much money on Bonnie's kids. At that point I couldn't help but think that being able to pay for the grandchildren's school etc is what all the money is for. If you can't do for your family.... But I guess Elice would like to spend it on more expensive nicnacs for the house, more silk outfits and cruises.
