I don't think there is anything that scares me more than cancer. My mom and grandfather dies of it. So did my aunt and my grandmother died of a brain embolism that could have been related to it. My father-in-law died of pancreatic cancer...and I found out that it is one of the more common cancers that people who use tobacco get. All those people I mentioned were smokers.

Hence, my intense hatred of tobacco.

What scares me is that my DH uses chewing tobacco. It breaks my heart because I just know that every time he does it decreases our chances of actually reaching old age together. <sob>

Addiction is evil and so is tobacco. I wish that everyone who uses it could see the convulsions that someone dying of cancer goes through when it is eating their brains. Unfortunately, that is not enough for some people. DH watched his dad die and still has convinced himself that it won't happen to himself.

:-(
