I was troubled by the ongoing cliches in the story.
The minister who gets the girl pregnant.
The 50s housewives who cater to their husbands.
The husbands who cheat.
The girls who try to steal another's DH.
The wifebeater and the victim of abuse.

But in the end, they all get their come-uppance. I was happy Burr died. Also, Henry was such a jerk, he would have lied about anything. I felt sorry for Olive, at least she did not really suffer. I was a little surprised that she did die after lingering so long.
