Was this not the epitamy of the jerky husband who cheats on his first wife?!?!?! WHat a doofus. And yet, he was so shallow and obnoxious that you almost feel sorry for him. And the nerve of saying he wanted the house! That he admitted bringing the weather girl there! AHHH!
Then, the funniest was the Devil saying he had not made a bargain with Mitchell...that even he had standards! HA!!!!!! I laughed at that one!
I know exactly how Barbara felt. She was so cowed by Mitchell, so afraid of displeasing. The brainwashing of her parents and Mitchell made her believe it was the way to be. I was so brainwashed by my first husband, I could not even buy myself necessities like underwear without feeling guilty...that the money was needed for something he wanted or needed. I guess identifying with her and her husband made the stor even better for me.
Oh, thank you God for helping me out of that morass!
