Barbara's life needed a change when she made the deal with the devil. She needed something to wake her up. Getting looks and success, even just temporarily, was enough to give her the confidence to speak up for herself and take control of her life. Once she had confidence she no longer needed the fake looks and false success. How many people need to be woken up from their slumbers; people just waiting for something to happen in their life.
