Case File: Peeping Tom
June 21st, Saturday
Coroner's Report
Victim number five.
[sounds of metal being cleaned]
Actually, there is no victim number five. Thank god there's no victim number five. *sigh* Of all the cases I get assigned to, this had to be my first. There's very few people here who take me seriously as it is, being a woman and all. But now... Well, now everything just went back a couple of decades even more.
Ok, let's start at the beginning. Yesterday morning, after finding the body of Ms. Brown, we, being Agents Frost, Chan, and I went to the Underground to find out about that janitor who shot Frost. Though secretly, he kinda deserved it really. I mean, he DID run out of the car after the guy without thinking about it. Didn't quench his trigger happy state of mind though. God the man is a moron. [silence, then things being wheeled around] Anyway, we found some items in this janitors locker, including an ice tray, which we assume was used to keep the eyes fresh till he could transport them. Of course, once we got an address, 432 W Crescent, we hurried over. The man was Jordan Thomas. This guy was a complete freak, his apartment, which was in the basement of a small house, had pictures of eyes everywhere. [sounds stop, as a large door seems to be opened, and then closed again] There were eyes in his freezer. [more silence]
Agent Frost examined Mr. Thomas's computer, looking for websites he had been to lately, though I secretly think he was just enjoying the porn this prick has been watching. Agent Chan went through his bookcase, while I checked out his medicine cabinet. He had been on some medication, and I contacted his doctor, one Johnson. He hadn't seen him for awhile, and the prescription should have been refilled months earlier, though there was still half a bottle. It was supposed to decrease his sex drive. Apparently he had been worried he might do something like this. [the sounds of metal moving picks up again]
Agent Chan did find something interesting though. There was a book, inside the cover of Moby Dick. It was about sight beyond sight and clairvoyance type stuff. Apparently using eyes, especially the eyes of a human, was supposed to allow a person to see things no matter where you are. He even had a quote written from some voyerism site called peepingtom.com. "I can see you where ever you go." That was about when we figured out what exactly was going on, and realized that this guy was watching us in his house. We all left rather quickly.
But I've gotten off the point. We caught the guy. [sounds of tap water start] Barely. But thank God we caught him. [a moment of silence, except for the water]
He was in my house. I awoke by Brian's voice. At least it sounded like him. Thank god I did. I called the police, and just as I did, he came in the room. I managed to hit him with my lamp, and run to the front door. Unfortunately he was right behind me and kept me from opening it. He had already grabbed my gun. In all my years of working with different people, no one has known where my house was. Thank god it was different this time. Chan got there first, I think. All I know is that one minute I've got my own gunned jabbed into my kidney, the next there's voices and banging at my door. They got it open, right onto me and Thomas. It took all three of us to take the guy down. Needless to say, first thing I did after getting the door fixed was changing the locks. Well, that is after spending a couple of nights at the office.
And now the only question is, is Brian still alive.
