(Summary)
Ava was exactly where she wanted to be in life. In her thirties, with a close-knit circle of friends, a great house in a beautiful California beach town and a growing career as a fashion designer, the last thing on her mind was settling down and starting a family,but that all changed the day Ava's sister and brother-in-law were killed in an accident, leaving Ava to raise their three children.

(Summary)
And So The Series Begins

The pilot/first episode got off to a good start.There were humorous scenes (8 year old Derrick's embarrasment at seeing his aunt wrapping a towel around her self after just stepping out of the shower),as well as heart tugging ones (Bradin telling his aunt Ava over the phone about his parents) Ava's close knit friends try to help her with the kids,and each has an endearing.lovable quality.The Zen spouting Jay who lives to surf and thinks of himself quite a ladies man.Johnny,who is a close friend,and ex boyfriend of Ava's who seems to have developed a close bond with Derrick in the early going.And Ava's friend and business partner Susanna who is not afraid to say whats on her mind. Overall, it looks like a pretty good show,with promise of even better things to come.How long will Ava and Johnny wait before admitting they still have feelings for eachother?Whats the story between Jay and Erika? Will Bradin get into deeper trouble? And how will Nikki's transition into life after her parents death go? Stay tuned.

(Summary)
Ava, Jay and Sussanah are having a feud with a neighbor, Carol McFarlene, as her children, Chris and Martha, are friends with Derrick,but she is worried by the influence of Ava's friends when her children go to their house and lack of supervision. It gets worse as Derrick punches Chris.So she no longer wants her kids near Derrick, Ava or her friends. Also, Bradin meets a mysterious girl named Haley on the beach while he's trying to concentrate on Sarah while surfing.
