Gold Digger, Wrestling Diva's March 2000 It's not uncommon for World Wrestling Federation Superstars to have loyalties. Some past examples of Federation allegiances include members of the Heenan Family, the Hart Foundation and the Legion of Doom. More recently, there's been D-Generation X, the Ministry and the Brood. But rarely, if ever, does a Federation Superstar pledge an allegiance to a particular title. Well, that's before Miss Kitty came along. Ever since joining the World Wrestling Federation, Miss Kitty hasn't been seen without the Intercontinental Championship somewhere nearby. She's only been associated with whoever's current I.C. champ. What exactly is it about the Intercontinental Championship that Miss Kitty finds so fascinating? And, what is behind this strange relationship? "I guess it all started when Jeff Jarrett brought me in as Debra's assistant. I guess I got fascinated with both Jeff and the Championship," says Kitty. "And, when he lost it to Chyna I had no more use for Mr. Jeff Jarrett. So, I followed the gold... and that was with Chyna." Where many people would find such a fixation odd, that's not true for Miss Kitty. She is perfectly comfortable being labeled an I.C. groupie. "I guess you can call me that," shrugs Kitty. "I see myself as a magnet for the Championship. I go wherever it goes." With the expansion of the Federation's Women's Division, there's now a slew of ladies fighting for the ultimate prize, the World Wrestling Federation's Women's Title. Miss Kitty has already been in the ring in that now-infamous mud-wrestling match with Ivory. Wouldn't capturing the Federation's Women's Title provide Miss Kitty with some gold of her own? "I'm really not a wrestler. I don't care to wrestle," says Kitty. "I love being involved in wrestling. As far as me wrestling with people one-on-one again, I don't see that happening for Miss Kitty." So, is Miss Kitty relegated to the status of being the lackey for the Intercontinental champion, whoever that may be, for the rest of her tenure in the Federation. Or has Miss Kitty been purring about, eyeing other objects in the Federation? "Of course," says Kitty. "Absolutely." Miss Kitty is mum on what exactly those other objects may be as of right now; apparently, the cat has her tongue. For now, being in close proximity to the Intercontinental Championship is enough for this owner of nine lives. This is one feline that's intent on scratching her way to the top of the Federation. And we can be sure that she has the purrr-fect plan clawed out to do just that.
