DRCs for Friday, October 12, 2001
I'm not funny.
The mistake was not on my part. WDIIA was unable to do the DRCs due to
extremely unfortunate circumstances, and as a consequence, Jai never got them,
meaning I never got them. But it's a good thing I have this excuse, because I
forgot to check my mail on Wednesday. THEN it would have been my fault. But it
wasn't. Ha. -Mizar66

I was supposed to go play GC today, and my plans fell through.... Now

Morts2005: I went to Toys R Us today, so at least I got to see the demo DVD they had playing. Much better looking than the movies available online.
Great job with the site, guys! Nintendorks.com is back up, but of course
the chances of them updating anytime soon are quite slim. So, do I dare say that
this site is better than the original???

Morts2005: I guess there's no way to know unless they say something, but its an interesting thought. I'm still wondering what will happen after the site starts updating again. Maybe we'll just shut down, which wouldn't suprise me unless we expand significantly. It would be really cool though if we became sort of a companion site to Nintendorks, maybe like an expanded cellar of some sort. I dunno.
Whatever happened to all the posting Aero God used to do? Have I
replaced him as "dork with so much time on his hands he just posts DRC's half
his day?".
At least his were funny though. I have too much training to complete in order

Does anyone find the newest game at nintendogamecube.com a bit funky? I
mean why would you drop your GCN down into pits or something through a giant
Pachinko machine anyways? Just to prove how small it is. And on top of that
the latest wallpaper sucks. And its really fake, just look at the ball in the
Kobe's hand, then look at the one on the ground. Same thing, scaled down. I
thought Nintendo could do better...sports games...ugh. At least they have a
nice website overall though, and the other wallpapers are really kick ass (me
loves the Wave Race and Pikmin ones). -Goober

have a project to do, you are not sure what its on, you are not sure if its due

I'd just like to say "hey" to all those fine upstanding people who said
hi to me in yesterday's UDRCs. Also, I'd like to say that I hope WDIIA is
alive, somewhere, enjoying his buzzsaws. If he didn't do UDRCs yesterday when
he could have, I shall be very upset. However, if he's got an excuse, then meh.
Maybe I'll end up having to answer this. That would be ironic. Or STUPID. One
or the other.

While KB toys' brick & mortar stores are not pre-ordering gcn, the onlie
site is, or so it claims. You see, i am on an "e-mail List" that informs me of
when the gcn can be pre-ordered from www.kbkids.com, I recieved the message at
exactly 10:13 am est. I immediately tried to go to the site and pre-order a
cube. Only, I guess, a million other people tried too, and the site took a half
hour to load (Well a half hour of trying the site every 2 minutes, on my cable
connection, too!). But, by the time i could smurfun' reach the site they were
sold out! That is not fair!
Well, at least the xbox rep I met earlier this week was wrong about saying,
'There will be no great demand for the cube, so you don't even have bother
pre-ordering, here, take this ugly black and green lanyard and buy an xbox, or
I'll sit on you!' What a world! -ZeoGold
Morts2005: KB Toys sucks, they always have some sort of noisy toys operating throughout the store. Anyway, I still haven't reserved a Cube, though I tried at Amazon, and we've all heard about that. At least today I was able to reserve Luigi's Mansion and Rouge Leader.

Why is the update ultra racist? He corrected someone on their usage of
racial slurs, but that wasn't tooo racist, methinks. Definitely not along the
lines of ultra racist.

I went to the birthplace of Thomas Edison today. Yes, thats how I spent my day off of school. Though I also reserved two GC games at Toys R Us, so that was good. Then I went to Funcoland and bought Sonic & Knuckles for my brother. He thought it was a gift or something. Ha. I stole $10 from him shortly afterwards.
