My heart races
My eyes all but pop out of my head
We race towards each other
He lifts me up and swings me around
We hug
We kiss
He pulls me tight and strokes my hair
He cannot stop telling me how much he has missed me
He can't stop proclaiming his love for me
It feels so good to be in his arms again
I missed him so
Time has stopped
I could stay like this forever
Suddenly a scream cuts through our peace
He pulls me tighter, closer to his muscular body
I buried my face in his shoulders
The world around us turns black
Only he and I are standing surrounded by the blackness
His embrace isn't so tight now
I look up
We move apart slightly
He ever so gently caresses my check with his strong hand
He pauses there for a minute
Then he brings his hands into mine
He gives them a firm squeeze
Then he vanishes
I begin falling
Falling through the blackness
With nobody to catch me
Nobody left to care
The blackness takes over
It has become my only companion
