Three killed in communal violence in Indonesia's Sulawesi island
Indonesian police say three people have been killed and 125 homes destroyed in
communal fighting in South Sulawesi province.
They say the violence, which started on Monday, involved local residents and migrant
settlers.
The A-F-P newsagency says two of the three died after they were trapped in their
burning homes.
Police blame the conflict on jealousy by local people of the prosperity enjoyed by
settlers, who mainly come from Java and Bali.
