Pattimura Military Command Explode Confiscated Explosive
Materials
TEMPO Interactive, Ambon : The Pattimura Military Command exploded explosive
materials consisting of bombs, grenades and ammunition in woodland area near Suli
village, Ambon, on Thursday (23/5).
The explosive materials were confiscated from people in the area, or surrendered to
security forces.
The spokesperson of the Pattimura Military Command, Major Herry Suhardi,
explained that the security forces decided to explode the explosive materials in the
woodland area so as not to cause any danger for the public.
He went on to say that 1210 bombs, 45 hand grenades, 88 mortar grenades, 10
grenade launchers, 268 bullets, 61 anti-personnel weapons, and 32 launchers were
destroyed.
Herry said many people were still keeping weapons and explosive materials and
