The Sciences and arts flourished for about a decade, Humanity had acheived beyond the speed of light capabilites utilizing the new Universal Field/ Massless Drive. The term used for traveling beyond the speed of light was called "Transphoto-Massless speed"Then what the UN had always feared happened... in 2086, Several European Countries' provinces revolted fearing their very cultures where at threat of being washed away by the ever growing culture exsisting with Globalization then left the planet taking numerous technological advances with them... The United Nations Security Counsel authorized a Task Force to track down the Fleeing Rebels... Four fleets were assembled to find the Rebels and bring them back to be tried in UN courts.
One of the two fleeing rebel groups where never found... By the time the Task Force found the other group... That group of rebels had already firmly planted themselves on a planet in the Alpha Centauri System. This group declared themselves the Imperial Empire of Alpha Centauri in 2098. The UN attributed the failure to capturing the rebels to an inconstance within the task force, now called the United Nations Security Forces. With different national militaries told different objectives from each of their countries... it caused mass confusion. The UN made a suggestion at a World leaders summit... At the summit, the UN ambassadors argued for global and unified government. Africa and Austrailia signed on to form its basis, the UK then joined up shortly after, then Europe followed UK's lead and joined the New Unified Nations Government. The United States signed on and quickly campaigned the rest of the world to Join... Russia then joined as a show not to be upstaged by the U.S.... Then world was entirely united by 2104... with the exception of the nation state of Israel and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.. In the last few decades, Saudi under its new king was decidely much more hostile to the Israeli regime.. The Israeli's no longer posed a significant threat to anyone any more... as most of its former neighbors joined the UNGG.. It was clear to Israel.. if they said or did something bad to Her neighbors... Not only would they deal with Saudi Arabia... but the world would against her as well.. The same general warning when out to the Saudi Arabian King as well... By 2110 trade had developed with the Imperial Empire of Alpha Centauri, The biggest shocker came to UNGG as it was the Imperials that where the first to find and colonize a planet between UNGG Space and Imperial Space with Intelligent Life called "Lycanthrope". ...The Planet was known as Linus IV.. for the name of the Imperial Admiral who discovered it. To the UNGG it was a clear sign the Imperials where mapping out their border. The Imperials had other ideas in mind... In a clever bid.. the UNSF made a suggestion to its governing body the UNGG Congress.. that the UNSF could sell off all or nearly all of its current military technology to the Imperials and a freetrade zone on the UNGG Planet Colony called Gara III... Naturally the Congress liked and accepted the suggestion... The UNSF would then have a legitimet reason to get new equipment and technology for its personell. The Imperials traded the planet in exchange for the Military technology, Freetradezone on Gara III and made some requests as well..asteroid mining rights around Gara III and protectorate patrol rights for the mining to be done safely and not interrupted by Pirates...and allowing a Imperial Science/Military Outpost on Linus IV. The UNGG agreed to the conditions... in 2124... Linus IV joined the UNGG.. and the Imperial Navy grew 6 times the size of the UNSF... The following year... the Head of the UNSF.. Admiral Andrew Flury resigned believing the Imperials made a fool out of him with that deal for the planet, Linus IV. Trade flourished, the UNSF and then in 2127, the newly formed Earth Defense Force (EDF), began probing the Imperial side of the border with reconnisance passes, they saw a Fleet 8 times the size of the UNSF fleet of ships which at the time only consisted of 200 ships.. The UNGG Ambassador to the Imperials accused the Imperials of being potentially malicious to UNGG interests..The Imperials fired back saying that UNGG culture was a moral wasteland. This trend of name calling and accusing one another of something continued and became a mainstream thing for about the next 45 years. Then in late 2172.. On the border between UNGG and Imperial space, near Gara III, an incident involving a An imperial colony ship ferrying 41,000 souls aboard was torpedoed by UNSF Destroyers, destroying the Colcny ship and killing the 41 thousand souls aboard it, at the order of Admiral Casey Ross the head of the UNSF at the time until he resigned in disgrace after the news reached the UNGG Public... demanding the coward be removed from his post. The Imperials were absolutely insensed about the loss and bitterly condemned the UNSF for not taking the appropriate precautions to avoid such a catastrophe. In 2173, a UNSF heavy cruiser by the name Bon Homme Richard was damaged by a quantum filiment... the Cruiser drifted into Imperial space... When Imperial naval ships saw.. the promptly opened fire upon the ship and took prisinors.. a UNSF Captain by the name of Peter Ross, son of the Disgraced admiral, took his ship and three UNSF destroyers to Gara III and leveled the Imperials freetrading zone.. his excuse was that the Freetrading zone was being used as massing point for the Imperials... EDF Intel confirmed the suspicion.. and Ross was cleared of killing Imperial civilians that died in his assault against the free tradezone. The Imperials promptly recalled their ambassador from Earth. And deported the UNGG Ambassador from their home planet. On January 1st, 2174 at 0400 SET (Standard Earth Time AKA Zulu) the Imperial Navy's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Fleet crossed the UNGG/Imperial border... The UNGG - Imperial 21 year war had begun....
In 2191 during a cold but still in a sense wartime condition with the Imperials, the UNSF faced a new threat... from another dimension... known as the Borg... The revivied UNSF Fleet lost one thrid of its fleet defeating the advancing Borg ship. In 2195... the war came to conclusion as the Flag Admiral Nelson stated the Imperial Empire could no longer sustain their fighting capacity... as most of their population could not support it... the loss of life was too much for the Imperials...and he surrendered board the UNSF Flagship, the USS Force-A, accepting the surrender was the UNSF's Task Force Commander, Admiral Kyle Blackwood. Later that year.. The Invid showed up... only with the intent of wiping out Humanity for what Humanity they said had done to their beloved homeworld of Optera. The UNSF bitterly protested the accusation.. and said this it the introduction of the Invid was the first time they had ever heard of the planet or the Invid themselves. The Invids attacked regardless... the war was quick and brutal.. The war claimed the UNSF's Task force commander.. Kyle Blackwood... hero and accepter of the 21 year Imperial surrender...and his wife.. Jessica Blackwood...and the Force_A.. Jacob Benson, younger brother of the famous defeater of the Borg and now Invid, Beckerd "Blackbird" Benson, accepted the title of Admiral of the Fleet.. and became the UNSF Task Force Commander to this day... dealing with yet again.. a new threat... ...in 2196... the UNSF Intel revealed a startling fact to find that IMperials were quietly replacing there losses by making clones... According to reports some clones were just made as pleasure toys... soldiers... test subjects... and basically a beating post described by one deep cover agent.. Skip taylor stated in a report... all this was being done.. on that very freetrading zone that started the 21 year war... The clones revolted violently against the imperial oppressors... and quickly gained the sympathy of UNGG civilians on Gara III...they too participated in the Revolt against the Imperials...
The Imperial navy dispatched One Captain K'tesh to put down the uprising... the UNSF quickly rushed two carrier groups into the area to stop K'tesh's assault force... very soon after a year long battle began for all of Gara III... In late 2197.. the Imperial Outpost near Linus IV suddenly reported it was under attack.. a UNSF ship called USS Explorer-A answered the distress along two other Imperial ships... all three ships were destroyed... the UNSF sent out the USS Foch-D's 21st Carrier Battle Group to investigate the mysterious cicrumstances behind the Explorer's demise... a day later.. The might of the Imperial was slaughterd at their shipyards by a new power calling itself the NCEF.... The Imperials pleaded for help from the UNSF... As the UNSF's 14th Fleet begand to mobilize from Linus III... it was attacked and promptly anhilliated by the NCEF Fleet chasing after fleeing Imperial ships. Only the 21st Battle Group survived and it was clear to the UNSF that another war with an unknown and very powerful adversary had begun.
