The Sovereign class earned a nickname among the Imperial Armada for its deadly long range attacks, calling it "the Angry God". One ship even taunted the Imperial Armada with its name, mocking the Imperial Long Sword's name. The USS Bastard Sword, commonly seen with its sister-ship, the USS Explorer-B, were seen constantly harrassing the Long Swords throughout the final years of the 21 year long UNGG/Imperial War. The Bastard Sword and the Explorer were constantly confused for each other, by the Imperial Armada. The Imperials finally dubbed the youthfully infamous captain of the Explorer-B, the Tricky Deals man, because they could not anticipate his moves. And the Explorer-B, when combined with the Bastard Sword, caused mayhem throughout the Long Sword's ranks. The fights were furicious and most of the time the two hell raising Sovereign class ships, Explorer-B and Bastard Sword, came back beaten up badly from playing with the Imperial Long Swords, which were themselves badly beat up or just plain ol' destroyed. The USS Stealthlon-B and Arch Sword are sent to watch the backs of either Sovereign class ship. The Sovereign class is an equally deadly fighter at close range with its awsome array of phasers, short range missles, mines, and cannons. The Sovereign Class also doubles as an infleet mobile Long Range sensor. To Date, no Imperial Vessel has ever gotten past a Sovereign class's sensor sweep. It is often said that no comparison can done between the Sovereign class and any other ship because of its clever abilities. Admiral Ross was quoted to have even said, "They were born to harass the hell out of everything... The Imps hate it, and I love that."
