It had been almost a year since the beginning of the war between the UNSF, along with Imperial Allies, against the NCEF.  Huge losses were inflicted at the out start of the war against the Imperials.  The Imperials last remaining Fleets fled across the UNGG border and made a desperate plea for help.  But to no avail.  It would take the loss of one of the UNSF's most prestigeous ships, the USS Explorer-A, to bring the UNGG into a state of war against an unknown aggressor at the time.  As the war continued both sides began to fall back as their losses mounted on both sides... But the UNSF was losing far more ships  and far faster then its NCEF aggressors were.  There were of course a few bright-glimmering lights of hope for the UNSF to win.  The ultra-famous crews of the USS Force, USS Stealthlon-B, USS Explorer-B, and the USS Foch-E and its battle group boasting two of the best fighter squadrons in it.  The Imperials had their own as well, the crews of the ISS Great Sword, ISS Firebrand, ISS Long Sword, ISS Turbulent, and the ISS Rapier.

It was the 2nd week of September  in 2198, when the NCEF began to pull back their forces or atleast some of them.  Around this time fighting almost had come to a stand still.  Ships from both sides began to patrol each side of the held territory.  The Imperials were convinced that the NCEF would not risk its most valueable ships to patrol and decided to put its most powerful and most talented crew to patrol duties.  On October the 1st, the UNSF TASK FORCOM dispatched the Imperials' ISS Rapier, commanded by what many consider Admiral Blackbird's Imperial equivulant, Admiral Lucas Vanssen, to patrol the Klamataian Nebulaic Expanse.

Day One:

The ISS Rapier leaves Space Port, SP-39 "King Henry" Station enroute for the Nue-jas Blackhole Observatory & Reconnisance space station to pick up an extra sensor & radar intelligence officer.  Vanssen boosts his crews moral by telling of the "Black Daggar" and its exploits.  The Black Daggar is of course, the UNSF's USS Stealthlon.  Vanssen's captain, Captain Janice Cromwell writes back to her husband, a Captain Jacob Cromwell on the Imperial destroyer ISS Drakon.  Little does she know that her husband will never recieve the letter she writes.  All across the Rapier, weary enthusiasm flows throughout most of the ships crew, eager to engage the dreaded NCEF Nekrines.  The most Vanssen and his crew have ever known about the great and awsome NCEF battleships was what they looked like and what kinda of strike power they supposedly have.
Vanssen casts caution to the wind as he feels there is no problems that could face them now.  Not this far inside their lines.  Vanssen remarks to his captain about a horror story he has heard rumored throughout much of the fleet about an NCEF Nekrine Class Battleship single-handedly making its way to Earth and striking at UNSF Command and Control centers on the planet only to be stopped at the last second by the valiant crew of the USS Explorer-B.  Captain Cromwell simply responds to Vanssen that he  is lucky that she is not on her period.

At the same time,  the NCEF's NCSS Graf Spee is on its third day of Patrol along its side of the controlled space.  Its commanding officer, Admiral Wilbur Stromgarde, makes a joke about the UNSF's Stealthlon Class to his men on the ship.  The Captain of the ship, Captain Gerhart Schneider, adds how retro the Stealthlon class looks and that he calls it hardly menacing.  The Master Chronolord aboard and advisor to Stromgarde, known as Jade, informs Stromgarde that she has recieved intelligence of a UNSF Intelligence convoy about to cross through their sector, escorted by 4 Excelsior Class Light cruisers and two Demon Class heavy destroyers.
Its just the sort of luck Stromgarde has been waiting for the last three days.  His captain orders the helm & navigation officer to change the massive Nekrine Class battleship's course immeadiately and set an intercept course for the UNSF Intel Convoy.  Stromgarde issues the General Quarters Alarm and order the number one and two Main gun turrets to be readied for firing.  At 08:32 SET (Standard Earth Time) the UNSF Intel Convoy signals its escorts to tighten up in formation.  The ships move closer in together inside the convoy.  The Graf Spee has already beat the convoy to its cross point to safety.  It sits quietly behind a large asteroid as the convoy makes its way past.  Stromgarde cannot help but be overjoyed at his luck.  He order the main gun turrets numbers 3 and 4 on the aft & aft mid deck of the Graf Spee be preped for firing.  The Graf Spee emerged from behind its hiding place and brought its four turrets holding three massive 60" Cannons to bear on three unsuspecting escorts and the convoy ships themselves.  The first of the escorts to be hit by the Graf Spee's mighty cannon fire was the ISS Drakon.  The Drakon takes two 60" shells through aft mid deck and main engineering section.  The crippled Imperial destroyer is nearly severed by the resulting explosions, but manages to return fire using her mine launchers.  To everyone's horror on the convoy, there worst fears of running into a Nekrine came true.  The four Excelsior class turn to engage or so it seems... then two of the Excelsior turn and attempt to escape the surprise attack.  The Graf Spee's aft Turrets fire upon one fleeing Excelsior, the shells simply shatter the UNSF cruiser.  Stromgarde orders all remaining ships to surrender.  But none do.  The remaining Imperial destroyer attempts to ram the Graf Spee.  The Graf simply aims one of its bow turrets at the would be attacker and fires... The Imperial destroyer, like the fleeing Excelsior before it, was shattered upon the impact of the Graf Spee's shells.  The last remaining Excelsior escorts attacked with all weapons upon their vessel.  Much to UNSF captains horror, the Graf Spee stood unscathed after their attack upon it.  The Graf Spee returned fire with one volley.  Two turrets targeting either excelsior class ship.  One Excelsior class was hit length wise after a shell went straight through it.  The other Excelsior cruiser's saucer section along with the draught was blowin off.  The remaining Convoy surrendered.  Stromgarde regarded it as a days work done and congratulated his crew again for demonstrating their excellence above the enemy in combat.

Day Two:
