Bio: Unloaded Shot began in mid 2001 as an untitled band who were formed by the
request of a school staff member to make his assemblies more entertaining.
After playing at school functions a couple of times, the 4 boys who didn't even
consider themselves a 'proper' band thought they might of had something.
The second time the 'band' performed at their school they were introduced as
"AB/CD" for the reason of them covering the AC/DC hit 'Highway to Hell'.
The boys decided that the name 'AB/CD' had to go, so a lot of new names were
chucked around for the band including 'Unorganised Anarchy', 'Epileptic Explosion' and 'The Hepeleptics', but none of them seemed to have that certain
'click'.
So the next time the boys played at the usual morning assembly they decided they
were going to go on the stage nameless.
Before the curtain opened the guitarist Evan whispered to the other members
"What about Loaded Shot for our name?". Then Josh piped up, "What about Unloaded
Shot?", it worked, everyone liked it and when the curtains opened the band
formerly known as 'AB/CD' would be nothing less than Unloaded Shot.
Since then Unloaded Shot have played many gigs at many venues including the
Schweppes Centre and The Hard Rock Cafe and have improved their sound a great
deal.
