Bio:
Out Of Nowhere
it was September 2001 when four musicians met by chance through the music
classifieds in Perth, Western Australia. Since then the up and coming “Gigantic”
have left little else to luck in bringing their own blend of powerful
indi-pop to audiences of Perth, Western Australia.
The Colour Of Sound
Strap yourself into Paul Di Renzo’s tight-knit percussive drumming as guitarists
Corrie Jones and Jamie Horsburgh drive home Gigantic’s trademark wall of sound.
Led ably by experienced frontman and bassist Mark Di Renzo, Gigantic never miss
an opportunity to show their versatility with a seemingly never ending supply of
strong vocal melody, harmony and punchy guitar riffs.
A Bright Future
For a band so new to the scene Gigantic have already accomplished what many
others work for years to achieve. Gigantic are gigging regularly with popular
Perth acts of their genre. Over the last few months these acts have included
Cartman, Halogen, The Fergusons and The Panics to name but a few. With the
possibility of a tour over east ahead of them the hard working Gigantic look to
have a bright future in store.
My Friend Radio
The band have now released their eagerly awaited debut EP “My Friend Radio”
nationally through MGM distribution. Recorded by engineer Jason Brown [Jebediah,
Red Jezebel, Adam Said Galore], the EP is already making waves on local radio
and is clearly set for bigger things.
