Bio: Early 2001 saw the country town of
Bendigo give birth to the popular 5-piece band Of Anaesthesia.
Their influences, including led
Zeppelin, Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins and Jeff Buckley has helped these
five old school friends to develop a unique sound taking full advantage
of their three guitarists.
From their humble beginnings of
playing party gigs, Of Anaesthesia has come a long way in two years.
Of Anesthesia have a solid
reputation in Bendigo for dynamic live shows and have regularly appeared
at Bendigo venues The Vine, The Hopetoun Hotel, Gravel Hill and the Old
Fire Station, gathering a strong fan base along the way. They have also
been popular at the Richmond Venue The Central Club.
Its not only the Bendigo
audience impressed by these lads. Mid 2002 saw them win the Castlemaine
Push Battle of The Bands, where Of Anesthesia used the recording time to
produce their first studio demo. A second recording is on its way as
they were recently accepted to record on the Brit #6 CD. A TAFE
initiative, which sees Bendigo bands receiving a professional recording
of 2 tracks on a cd, intended for record company distribution and radio
airplay.
Of Anaesthesia have worked hard
towards creating their unique brand of music the band has supported
notable acts such as Fourth Floor Collapse, Motor Ace, Antiskeptic, Fez
Perez and Gersey.
