The Winters - kind of a psychedelic-folk-rock thing
The Winters story can be traced back to their first gigs together in mid 2001,
but 2003 has proved be the year that the band took the Sydney scene by the
horns, playing more gigs in the first few months of the year than they had in
the past year and a half.
With three songwriters in the group, the bands sound is difficult to pigeonhole,
but there is definitely signature feel to the music. Influences include classics
like The Beatles, Nick Drake, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Leonard
Cohen, coupled with more contemporary artists such as Neil Finn, Coldplay, Augie
March and Radiohead.
