2010, Canada's world-famous Whistler Blackcomb skiing area will become
the Host Mountain Resort for the upcoming Vancouver Winter Olympics
and Paralympics. At Whistler Blackcomb, the 2010 Olympic Games will
including downhill and slalom skiing at Creekside, along with Nordic
cross-country skiing, ski-jumping, all Paralympic events, and a biathlon
competition at the Olympic Park's Callaghan Valley. The Whistler Sliding
Centre will play host to bobsleigh and luge sledding events, while
the medal presentation and the closing ceremony are to be held within
the Whistler Celebration Site.

Cross-country
skiing is one of Whistler's best kept (and most affordable) secrets.
No chairlift lineups here; just you, perfectly groomed trails and
Whistler's enchanting winter wonderland to explore. With three cross-country
skiing venues, including the official venue for Nordic events for
the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Whistler offers more
than 130 km of trails.
