Using the Tailor Skill
To use the tailor skill,
you need a sewing kit and some cloth. Both of these items can be bought
from tailor shops in
town. When you have both items, double click the
sewing kit and a target cursor should appear. Now target the cloth in
your backpack. A list of products and categories
will appear on the screen. Select the item you want to convert the
cloth into. If you are successful, the item you
selected will show up in your backpack. If you fail, you will lose some
cloth. You
can also use your scissors to cut clothing or leather
armor back into the original material. Boots and sandels can not be recycled.

Another method to use when
you reach 78.8, is to start making studded leather gorgets, then gloves,
and then sleeves when available. After you reach 91.2, start making studded
leggings all the way up to 95.4 where you can start making tunics. From
there on make all studded tunics and you will reach gm tailor. This method
uses uses a lot of hides, but it is also much faster and less tedious to
do. I used about 10-15k hides in this process.
