"Someone Else"

@Uootem

Someone else
                  these words written today scattered
                                        out of character disguised
no rhyme or reason to their flow
mirroring the thoughts that cloud my mind
matched to two hearts forever separated
                          torn between love and pain
the rose of promises cut and withered
no room left in your world for a poet
his love now butchered with a pen
poetry without much sense... a senseless world of words.

But today I don't feel like rhyming
my heart left agape...  my soul has fled
                                                                      chasm a gorge never traversed
two sides of love...  found and now lost
starved for affection,  for your love
                                                                the vineyards of lifetime bliss
cut and withheld before made to wine
no room left in your world for a boy
intoxicated by youthful fantasies of love
he will need some sobering after this poem is finished.
no room left in this world for "us"
                                        these inadequate words written today
left empty on this page.... and me left alone
chasm a gorge torn between two hearts
disguised today as a useless phrase
the pen is a sword that cuts
                                                                    the poets heart bleeding
                                        yet no hope for healing.

              For today,
you married someone else?
